Work Arrangement: Hyrbrid: Position does not require an employee to be on-site full-time but the general expectation is that the ​employee be onsite an average of three (3) days each week.​

The Role:

We are seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic Software Product Manager Summer Intern to join our fast-paced software development team. This internship offers a hands-on experience in product management in the context of the software for the BrightDrop ecosystem of vehicles and and non-vehicle hardware. As an intern, you will work closely with experienced product managers, engineers, and designers to learn, contribute, and gain valuable insights into the product lifecycle

What You'll Do :

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to assist in the planning and development of a software feature or enhancements for the BrightDrop Core software

  • Conduct market research to identify user needs, industry trends, and competitive landscapes to inform software product strategies

  • Assist in defining and documenting software requirements, user stories, and acceptance criteria for development teams

  • Support the testing and quality assurance process by reviewing software builds, identifying issues, and proposing improvements

  • Collaborate with UX/UI designers to ensure a user-centered approach in software design and functionality

  • Assist in gathering and analyzing user feedback to iteratively improve software products and features

    Required Qualifications:

  • Pursuit of a MBA or Master's program in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field

  • Must be graduating between December 2024 - June 2025

  • Able to work fulltime, 40 hours per week

  • Prior experience with product management, software development, or automotive technology is advantageous

  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across disciplines

  • Solid analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a keen eye for detail. Familiarity with software development processes, including Agile methodologies, is a plus

    Pay Transparency Language (Compensation)

  • The salary range for this role is $4800-$6700 monthly, dependent upon class status and degree.​
  • Student Stipend: GM will provide a one-time lump sum taxable stipend payment to eligible students selected for the 2024 Student Program.
