Work Arrangement :
Onsite: This position requires an employee to be on-site on a full-time basis in Southern California.
Expose qualified candidates to creative careers at General Motors and identify talent for direct positions in creative clay sculpting at Design. The individual will gain an understanding of the aesthetic judgments, technology, production methods, program timelines and materials used in automotive clay sculpting.

Work collaboratively with Design, Sculpting and Engineering to interpret sketches and develop clay scale models of a future automotive theme using established and emerging clay sculpting best practices and techniques. Present finished models to Design and Sculpting Leadership at midterm and final show events. Support general sculpting assignments within studio environment.Additional Description
Currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree or Advanced degree in Industrial Design, Transportation Design, Fine Arts, Sculpture, Ceramics, or related field
Must be graduating on or after August 2024
What will give you a Competitive Edge (Preferred Qualifications):
Demonstrates creative ability with supporting 3D portfolio
Basic understanding of design and sculpting principals including proportion, line and surface
Basic 3D software experience (Alias, Blender, etc.)
Student Stipend: GM will provide a one-time lump sum taxable stipend payment to eligible students selected for the 2024 Student Program.
Pay Transparency: The salary range for this role is $4,000 -$6,100, dependent upon class status and degree.
