Work Arrangement:
Onsite: This position requires an employee to be on-site on a full- time basis.
Hybrid : Position does not require an employee to be on-site full-time but the general expectation is that the employee be onsite an average of three (3) days each week.
The Team:
In the age of the digital consumer, Global Aftersales is vying to deliver the best automotive user experience, tackling one of the world's most sophisticated supply chains and exceeding all service expectations. We are responsible for the conception, marketing, sale, and delivery of all automotive replacement parts worldwide for both GM and non-GM vehicles – and we're the only business unit that supports the vehicle cradle to grave. Looking ahead, we plan to use a century of technical expertise to redefine the industry and introduce the next level of customer service in vehicle ownership.
The Role:
Our Supply Chain, and Warehouse interns will tackle numerous challenges that the industry is facing today – network complexity, consumer demands driving the need for speed and quality, and an ever-increasingly volatile supply chain. With a continuous focus on optimizing our customer experience, interns will help us drive fulfillment efficiency – focusing on capacity planning, inventory placement, backlog management, and resolving operational queries.
Interns will have a multitude of responsibilities such as:
Deep analysis of data and processes to identify and eliminate wasteful elements in the value chain
Improve the performance of the network with both existing metrics and development of new initiatives
Delivery of goals relating to forecast accuracy and process timelines
Generate initiatives related to warehouse automation, facility and material flow design/launch
Evaluate alternate and emerging warehouse and distribution technologies, including semi and full automation to reduce total cost or improve invisibility/shorten supply chain
Lead efforts to develop material flow standards and principles in our Parts Distribution Centers
Research and create processes and systems to creatively move goods to and from destinations
Required Qualifications:
Pursuit of a Bachelor's degree in one of the following areas: Industrial Engineering or a business-related field, preferably concentrating in Supply Chain, Purchasing, and/or Information Systems
Must be graduating between December 2024 and June 2026

Pay Transparency:
The salary range for this role is $4,100-$4,900 per month, dependent upon class status and degree.
