Work Arrangement:

Hybrid: The position does not require an employee to be onsite full-time to perform most effectively. The employee's role enables them to work at a GM facility, or off-site as frequently as needed or desired.

The Role:

This position presents an excellent opportunity for a highly motivated, dynamic, and ambitious individual seeking to work in a thriving subscription business at GM Canada. The OnStar team is seeking a driven individual to support and accelerate the rapid subscription growth along with supporting key product launches in Canada. Reporting to the Acquisition Sales & Marketing Manager and Sales Manager – New products, you will actively collaborate with the marketing, product, and analytic teams to execute customer acquisition plans, enhance our market brand visibility, track key product launch milestones, and achieve financial performance.

Key Responsibilities:

Data Analysis:

  • Working alongside marketing manager to conduct research, and perform in- depth statistical analysis of monthly subscriber numbers and growth trends (retention/remarketing/churn)

  • Conduct competitive research to identify product comparisons, competitive advantages, and potential opportunities (comparing all market OEs)

  • Collaborate with the Product Analyst and Product Manager to contribute to the Yearly Market Trends Update and Industry Review

  • Retention Focus with Contact Center:

  • Collaborate with GM advisor teams to devise OnStar auto-renewal strategies, thereby improving subscriber retention rates

  • Listen to customer calls, identifying growth opportunities, and tracking monthly progress

  • Marketing and Product:

  • Develop and implement CRM campaigns, ensuring seamless coordination with the agency for effective execution

  • Forecast and track monthly subscriber numbers, conducting data analysis for growth insights

  • Develop innovative go-to-market ideas and a 24CY acquisition calendar to ensure a strategic approach to attracting new customers

  • Review campaign results to derive actionable conclusions for continuous improvement

  • Champion a start-up mindset, to identify and rectify gaps to achieve key launch timelines

  • Partner with vehicle brands to elevate the focus on OnStar & Connected Services through brand and product integration

    Required Qualifications:

  • Pursuit of Bachelor's (3rd and 4th year students) or Master's degree in one of the following areas: Business/Commerce (Marketing major preferred)

  • Able to work fulltime, 40 hours per week in Canada, and for 8 or 12-month term (2-3 consecutive semesters, longer term preferred) starting January 2024

  • Passionate about creativity, design, strategy, and brand building

  • Proven experience in marketing coordination, research, and data analysis

  • Proficiency of Microsoft Office

  • A passion for innovation, creative problem-solving, and driving results

  • You love to learn and drive for results - Gets things done (High Capacity, High Quality Output, and Quick Pace)

  • Consistently demonstrates innovate thinking that is customer centric

  • Planning and organizing – can work independently in a fast passed environment with multiple projects. Strong project management skills.

  • Utilizing data to support decisions and make informed recommendations

  • What will give you a Competitive Edge (Preferred Qualifications):

  • Previous related sales and marketing work experience or Co Op terms

  • Previous experience in automotive or a strong curiosity about the industry

  • Experience in PowerBI, and understanding of data mining and interpreting reports

  • Familiarity with CRM systems and marketing analytics platforms
