Hybrid: This position does not require an employee to be on-site full-time to perform most effectively. The employee's role enables them to work at a GM facility or off-site as frequently as needed or desired. This position requires an employee to be onsite 3 times per week .

Description of Role:

As an Accessories eCommerce Assistant Manager, you will be responsible to help define GM's strategic roadmap for eCommerce and create a world-class shopping experience that bridges the gap between physical and digital retail. You will also apply your analytical skills to generate insights and drive revenue growth today through the harnessing of multiple data sources and analytical tools. This role will inspire the organization to think differently while putting the customer at the center of our decision making. You will be responsible to monitor the current production eCommerce platform to solve problems and identify any opportunities for improvement. You will then funnel these improvement opportunities into the eCommerce strategic roadmap and provide oversight to ensure they are implemented. This role is a key voice in determining the future strategy of Accessories eCommerce.

This role will require a strong eye for business in interpreting results, the ability to challenge the status-quo, effectively prioritize in an unstructured environment, identify revenue and customer experience driving opportunities, and leading across functions to articulate and promote development plans. The ideal candidate will thrive in a fast-paced team environment, is data driven and results-oriented, and is inspired to drive strategic decision making and innovation to create a truly frictionless online shopping experience and help drive our digital eCommerce business.

Key Responsibilities:

Strategic Roadmap / Platform Management:

  • Support the development of the Accessories eCommerce strategic roadmap

  • Collaborate directly with Line of Business Partners, Market Research, Marketing, Brand, Product, Tech Teams, Vendors and Agencies to achieve strategic objectives, test/implement programs, and maximize sales

  • Work with business and technical teams (i.e., Digital Business Product, Digital Business Tech Product, SSM-Marketing, etc.) to help design and deploy Accessories eCommerce enhancements

  • Collect feedback on the health and performance of the online eCommerce experience to identify/resolve current issues and future Accessories eCommerce enhancements

  • Anticipate roadblocks and proactively address issues before they impact business results

  • Project business oversight for ongoing enhancement releases to the eCommerce platforms (e.g., manage Aha cards, manage agile Program Increments)

  • Lead UAT and Validation testing for all product launches on behalf of the Line of Business team.

  • Optimization / Data Analysis / Reporting

  • Leverage eCommerce analytics to identify opportunities to improve conversion, product page views, cross-sell, up-sell, and add to cart rates, driving incremental engagement, sales, productivity, and profitability

  • Apply data analysis skills to estimate the future and actual value of platform enhancements and existing initiatives

  • Synthesize and present findings and recommendations often to senior leadership and organizational stakeholders

  • Bold leadership, problem solving, and training required to stay current on cutting edge technology for eBusiness

  • Required Qualifications

  • BA / BS in Business, Marketing, Business Administration, Finance, or related fields

  • 5+ years related experience in eCommerce, Digital Marketing, Strategy, Automotive, or related field

  • Ability to inspire and communicate with a wide range of constituents and executives across functions and organizational levels; ability to lead by influence across a global organization, identify critical issues and opportunities, evaluate options, and provide recommendations

  • Strong decision-making skills and comfort with ambiguity

  • Ability to think end-to-end, and champion the Accessories eCommerce business while balancing the operational requirements to sustain Accessories eCommerce offerings

  • Stellar analytical ability with capability to transform data into actionable insights and plans

  • Exceptional ability to problem solve, develop creative solutions, and demonstrate resourcefulness

  • Exhibit “Leadership DNA” to manage and grow talent and able to motivate and inspire and act as catalyst for innovation and change

  • Relationship skills to create a network of contacts within and outside General Motors

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills and experience presenting to senior level executives

  • Preferred Qualifications

  • Master's Degree / M.B.A.

  • Implementation of eCommerce platform experience

  • Prior experience leading web projects from concept to launch

  • Demonstrated knowledge in Customer Experience, including but not limited to Design Thinking, Agile Development, Customer Journey Mapping, metrics and data and analytics tools

  • Automotive industry experience
