Summary

The Accounts Payable Clerk III is responsible for performing a range of accounting and clerical tasks related to the Accounts Payable function. This generally includes receiving, processing, and verifying invoices, tracking and recording purchase orders and processing of payments in a timely and efficient manner. This position is responsible for the expense reimbursement process, system data entry and reporting as well as assisting with User training.

Position Responsibilities

  • Vouchers A/P invoices and process payments to vendors
  • Complete full-cycle accounts payable with electronic two-way and three-way matching of invoices in the ERP system (i.e.
  • Oracle)
  • Processes 300 – 400 invoices per week with accuracy
  • Prepares ad hoc reports and perform analysis related to A/P payments
  • Independently researches and resolves discrepancies found on invoices
  • Supports check runs, ACH and wires, WebTop (or replacement system) data entry as needed
  • Supports invoice accruals
  • Works on assignments that are moderately difficult, requiring judgment in resolving issues or in making recommendations
  • Ensures efficient and timely Expense Report reviews and approvals
  • Ensures compliance with the travel & entertainment policy
  • Ensures efficient operation, data update and data integrity/reconciliation of the Automated Expense Reporting (AER)
  • Conducts training sessions with new employees and others, as needed, on the Automated Expense Reporting and Concur Travel
  • Serves as primary backup for the Databasics Administrator
  • Other duties as assigned
  • Basic Qualifications (Required Skills & Experience)

  • High School Diploma/GED is required
  • Minimum of 2 – 4 years of Accounts Payable experience or equivalent combination of experience and education
  • Minimum of 2 – 4 years of Electronic Expense Reporting experience or equivalent combination of experience and education
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word and Outlook)
  • Ability to operate a calculator, computer, and other general office equipment
  • Skilled at working under short-term deadlines with a high degree of accuracy and efficiency
  • Ability to communicate clearly and concisely, verbally and in writing
  • Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills & Experience)

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related discipline is preferred
  • Previous Oracle experience is a plus
  • Experience using Databasics or Concur is preferred
  • Has substantial understanding of the job and applies knowledge & skills to complete a wide range of tasks
  • Normally receives little instruction on daily work, general instructions on newly introduced assignments
  • Able to excel in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment, where small teams share a broad variety of duties
  • Displays strong initiative and drive to accomplish goals and meet company objectives
  • Takes ownership and responsibility for current and past work products

  • The salary range for this role is:

    $21 - $31
