This role offers the following Work Appropriately strategy:

Hybrid: This position does not require an employee to be on-site full-time to perform most effectively. The employee's role enables them to work at a GM facility or off-site as frequently as needed or desired. This position requires an employee to be onsite up to 3 times per week .

Team Overview:

GM's Motorsports Software team analyzes, defines, and delivers next generation groundbreaking Motorsports IT software solutions. Using both innovative cloud- based infrastructure and software development standards, these solutions enable innovative interactions between GM Global Engineering, GM Motorsports, and our Race teams that accelerate our drivers to the finish line first! Our combined team of analysts, architects, developers, data engineers, testers, and project managers work with GM Motorsports Engineering and Race teams to ensure podium wins for GM's NASCAR, IndyCar, and IMSA sportscar teams!

Job Summary:

The application engineer will be hands on involved with developing custom software solutions around products like Microsoft Dynamics, Teamcenter, Catia, etc. The Motorsports team operates as a SaaS provider and this role will help ensure our custom applications are integrated into 3rd party software suites. This is a fast-paced environment where you will deploy weekly and see your accomplishments help us cross the finish line. Since supporting the race teams is our top priority, the systems engineer is encouraged to travel to at least one race to experience the customers using the application in a live scenario.

Responsibilities Include:

  • Help and own design of software solutions integrating 3rd party applications

  • Architect and maintain Azure environments

  • Develop high quality code solutions following industry standards

  • Design scalable and reliable systems utilizing Azure resources

  • Participate in short and long term Azure road map for Motorsports

  • Additional Description

    Minimum Qualifications:

  • 3-5 yeas of software development experience

  • Experience developing cloud-based solutions

  • Proficiency in multiple programming languages

  • Full stack development experience

  • Creative problem-solving skills that deliver elegant solutions to complex issues

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science or related discipline

  • Preferred Requirements:

  • Experience with Dynamics, Teamcenter or Catia

  • DevOps experience

  • Experience with Azure CLI and/or Azure PowerShell libraries

  • Position is ONLY located in Concord, NC
