Overview:
This Assistant Manager, EV Charging Programs will support the creation and execution of external partnerships and assist in the development of EV infrastructure and charging customer experience strategies. Work closely with leadership to communicate relevant information. High degree and comfort in presenting critical strategic information and dealing with ambiguity. Critical thinking and demonstrated ability to develop solutions to complex business critical issues. Ability to process a broad array of inputs into a strategy.
Facilitate and manages cross-functional project teams focused on improving the customer experience around EV charging for home, public, dealers, and fleets
Build a strong network of external relationships throughout the EV ecosystem. May include suppliers, consultants, analysts, utilities, and other stakeholders in the EV infrastructure and charging ecosystem
Identify the connections (and possible connections) between key stakeholders in a business ecosystem including new entrants, government regulators, and competitors
Research business and customer experience opportunities that may be adjacent to current EV opportunities
Develop growth strategies, balancing customer and other requirements
Synthesize an engaging story based on insights and analyses including building short, clear PowerPoint decks and present quickly and clearly to key decision-makers
Work collaboratively with engineering teams, program management teams, and other internal groups crafting and executing necessary strategies to optimize charging experience
Required Qualifications:
Undergraduate degree required
3+ years of professional experience with automotive OEM in an electrification-based role, electric vehicle (EV) charging company, utility, or organization focused on EV/customer experience
Comfortable working in whitespace (new areas/concepts) and open-minded to new and changing approaches to ensure desired solution is achieved
Demonstrated ability to understand business concepts, including the ability to critically evaluate and create project plans
Ability to work with all levels within General Motors globally and across functional boundaries e.g. finance, purchasing, vehicle development, legal, including senior leaders
Action-oriented
Strong Business acumen / strategic agility
Ability to Deal with ambiguity
Motivates others / works well cross-functionally
Exceptional communication and presentation skills
Prioritization and decision-making skills
Preferred Qualifications:
MBA desired
5+ years of experience with automotive OEM in an electrification-based role, electric vehicle (EV) charging company, utility, or organization focused on EV/customer experience
