The Battery Assembly Team is looking for talented and self-driven individuals. Our team is responsible for the execution of programs at the heart of GMs Zero-Zero-Zero initiatives. $27 billion of investments in EV and AV products and 30 EVs by 2025, including GMC Hummer EVs and Cadillac's all-new CELESTIQ. The primary responsibility of the Battery Assembly Engineer is to 'get the process right' and do so by delivering process and equipment that enable a flawless launch, by developing new manufacturing processes, equipment, tooling and flow of operations for lithium-ion batteries.
Work is performed in a team environment where you will have daily interactions with suppliers, OEMs, product engineering, plant engineering, other manufacturing engineers and a multitude of others to successfully launch new products.
You will be working in a centralized engineering center and plant environment where a considerable amount of creativity and initiative is exercised as well as a high level of independent judgment.
