Description

We are looking for a talented leader to join our LGR team as a Body Shop Maintenance Coordinator! The Maintenance Coordinator will oversee salaried group leaders and their skilled trades teams. This role requires a high level of organizational and leadership skills.

Responsibilities:

  • Plan and coordinate maintenance projects

  • Lead and support maintenance group leaders and their skilled trades teams

  • Highly involved in troubleshooting and repair of robotics and automated equipment

  • Administrative tasks

  • Managing employees

  • Complies with the terms of local and national labor agreements

  • Implements divisional and corporate policies

  • Implements safety and good housekeeping practices

  • Frequent contact and collaboration with others outside of the work group

  • Responsible for the effective use of personnel, material and equipment

  • Participates in the selection of new employees

  • Trains, develops and evaluates employees

  • Establishes a course of action to accomplish completion of the job and/or project

  • Leads technical guidance for complex and unusual plant operations or projects

  • Assists in the development of budgets and forecasts within assigned area

  • Obtains a deep knowledge and ability to implement GMS principles

  • Additional Description

    Required Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of manufacturing experience

  • 3+ years maintenance experience

  • Highly proficient in safety practices and pre-task planning

  • Highly skilled in organizational planning and project management

  • Familiar with material handling

  • Familiar with robotic welding

  • Experience with vehicle product build and assembly

  • Experience with UAW contract and local agreements

  • Familiar with GMS principles

  • Ability to work off shift and OT as needed

  • Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering fields or equivalent technical experience

  • Maintenance Group Leader experience

  • Body shop experience

  • Leadership experience
