As an Sr. Firmware Project Manager , you will work with our firmware team to develop, release, OTA deploy, evolve and fix firmware for our Trace products to help us improve our customer product offerings. You will also help this team improve their efficiency, design, development speed, quality, and hardware/software integration.
Responsibilities:
Lead firmware development activities, spanning hardware and software product requirements, customer journeys, Agile Scrum sprint planning, grooming and daily stand-ups and retrospectives
Be an effective facilitator of team Agile sessions to foster brainstorming and collaboration, tackle roadblocks and create solutions that add value for our customers
Work with hardware and software product managers, UX designers and researchers, and firmware technical leads to ensure the backlog is groomed, updated and ready for development execution
Work with hardware and software program and project managers to develop joint schedules with integration points and end-to-end functional validation.
Develop and maintain metrics dashboards across sprints, program increments and releases to demonstrate team progress and highlight areas for improvement
Coach firmware team members to improve sizing and capacity estimates and increase their overall velocity and productivity
Develop a team culture of continuous improvement and simplification, constant communication and collaboration, and personal accountability
Qualifications:
4+ years as a project manager for an Engineering firmware development team on multiple products spanning concept through launch and sustaining
3+ years of experience leading teams using an Agile Scrum methodology
Experience working within an electrical prototype environment on board bring-up, testing and diagnostic activities
Experience interacting with electrical and system hardware engineers on product design and development
Prior hands-on development experience as a firmware or software developer
Experience working with Agile planning tools such as Jira and Azure DevOps
Data-driven analysis skills for measuring and managing delivery
Excellent verbal, written, and presentation skills
Proven organizational, time management, planning and prioritization skills
Open to learning and adopting new things
Comfortable working in environments with ambiguity and rapid changes
Must have a BS degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or equivalent degree or experience
Experience working with DevOps teams on infrastructure development within a cloud environment, including capabilities such as monitoring, reporting and pipeline capabilities, DR and HA is a plus

This is a hybrid role based in Palo Alto, CA. Work will be performed onsite 3 days a week.
The compensation information is a good faith estimate only. It is based on what a successful applicant in the California Bay Area which includes the following counties: Marin, Contra Costa, San Francisco, Alameda, San Mateo, Santa Clara, and Santa Cruz might be paid in accordance with the California law.
The compensation may not be representative for positions located outside of the California Bay Area.
The annual salary range for this role is $106,400 - $170,000. The actual base salary a successful candidate will be offered within this range will vary based on factors relevant to the position.
Bonus Potential: An incentive pay program offers payouts based on company performance, job level, and individual performance.
