Description

Hybrid - Position does not require an employee to be on-site full-time. This position requires an employee to be onsite 1-3 times per week.

3 positions will be reporting to the BUICK team and 1 position will be reporting to the GMC team.

Role Description

  • Be an expert on the product, the customer, the competition and the segment
  • Analyze sales, market, customer and production data to identify key consumer insights and competitive opportunities, supporting the developments of lifecycle/marketing plans
  • Oversee lifecycle plans for assigned vehicles, including development of positioning, marketing strategy, and annual marketing plans
  • Develop communications messages based on critical product attributes and market trends to provide foundation for consumer, dealer, wholesale, and media messages
  • Work closely with Marketing Manager to develop and gain approval for strategies and plans that support divisional sales, profit and brand health objectives
  • For new and majored products, develop and maintain comprehensive launch plan
  • Manage ongoing communications with cross functional teams, including the Buick/GMC Product Team, Advertising/Digital/CRM/Social/Promotions, Sales, Order Fulfillment, Communications, Auto Shows, Training, Accessories, etc.
  • Manage ongoing communications with Sales Regions, including leadership of regular calls with Regional Marketing Managers and participation in monthly Consensus Calls as needed
  • Interface with the research community to leverage secondary research and develop primary research as required
  • Develop and provide content for product training
  • Ensure all consumer communications, dealer communications, press releases, source book, dealer order guides, training materials, etc. are product correct and are strategically messaged

    Qualifications

  • Bachelor degree required. Masters degree preferred.
  • Strong analytical capabilities to synthesize data into critical information
  • Familiarity and experience with information databases for sales, research, forecasting etc.
  • Ability to work well in a complex team environment
  • Ability to work effectively with others in a leadership role
  • Ability to effectively manage multiple assignments utilizing highly efficient time management skills
  • Highly developed marketing skills
  • Ability to make/recognize effective trade-off decisions that balance multiple considerations
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Highly developed presentation skills both in the development and delivery of presentation
  • Ability to travel
