Reporting to the Regional Manager Americas (RMA), this position is primarily
responsible for developing and growing Parrot's business in the DEFENSE
vertical.
Parrot is seeking a Business Development Manager (BDM) to assist in the
growth of the Parrot Drones product range, customer base and revenue across
North America (USA & Canada).
To be successful in this role, you need to have a strong working knowledge
of the Defense organizations , and an understanding of technology
products , while being highly motivated in supporting the business and
vertical.
Working remotely, the BDM will be an autonomous self-starter joining
Parrot with a key focus on developing new business and ultimately sustained
long term revenue.
This position involves a blend of strategic analysis, marketing, and sales
skills, tailored to the unique demands and regulations of the defense
market.
YOUR ROLE :
The BDM will work closely with RMA in defining & executing the DEFENSE
Sales strategy.
The BDM will support the daily account management and business support
across the region. This will be customer interfacing by means of face to
face, verbal, and electronic communication.
The BDM will be on the frontline, working closely with RMA in driving the
development of the region providing sustainable sales growth, building
long term commercial relationships and meeting targets / deadlines.
The BDM will be responsible for ensuring emerging opportunities are
leveraged and a key long-term focus is respected.
The BDM will understand the strategy, the audience of the applicable
channels and countries, their requirements and needs ensuring Parrot can
address, provide solutions, and execute.
Working at a fast pace and often under pressure , the BDM will need to
deliver the highest standard of service in a professional manner.
YOUR RESPONSABILITIES :
Conduct thorough market research to identify potential business
opportunities within the defense sector. Develop and implement
strategic plans to pursue identified opportunities , aligning with the
company's goals and capabilities.
Establish and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders in
the defense industry , including military officials, government
agencies, contractors, and partners.
Lead the preparation and submission of proposals, tenders, RFI, bids,
and presentations to prospective clients. Ensure compliance with all
government regulations and procurement processes specific to the defense
sector.
Utilize strong sales and negotiation skills to close deals and achieve
sales targets. Understand the competitive landscape and position the
company's offerings effectively.
Perform sales presentations and on-site demonstrations throughout the
region when required.
Be a key contributing figure in the development of the region in line
with the company strategy and objectives, optimizing and growing sales
revenue.
Educate and support sales with expert knowledge on products and their
applications and workflows.
Participate in tech days, trade shows, training events or other related
events as requested and required.
Create and maintain Customer Intelligence & Market Intelligence
databases.
Champion and support business and process re-engineering.
Assist in other activities across the business where required.
Be a positive, motivated Parrot advocate at all times.
