About TCI ME GPS:

As part of GM's Global Manufacturing Engineering Team, TCI ME GPS (Global Propulsion System) team is supporting design, develop, procure, and implement efficient manufacturing systems through standardized process to produce world- class propulsion systems across globe. Our deliverables spread across the Global Propulsion Systems Development Process (GPDP) cycle starting from Program Kick Off to SORP.

Job Summary

In this position, your responsibilities include maintaining documentation and systems related to M&E Specifications and Technical documentation, change management of the documentation, maintain and track systems with a customer focus, including communication with all Organization levels. You would be engaged in developing and implementing processes that support manufacturing engineering. A considerable amount of creativity and initiative will need to be exercised as well as a high level of independent judgment, ability to solve problems, willingness to help others and manage a significant amount of work in a fast-paced organization. You will be based in GM Technical Center India, Bangalore and will have to work with multiple stake holders at GMNA GPS center.

Major Duties and Responsibilities

  • Machinery & Equipment Specifications and Technical Documentation management System
  • Adobe experience Manager (AEM) management system
  • Supply Power understanding and usage.
  • Continuous Improvements of Business Processes
  • Standardization and documentation of processes
  • Achieve deliverables with 100% First Time Quality and 100% On time delivery
  • Capture and share lessons learned with global team.

    Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

    Knowledge

  • Proficient knowledge of GPS Manufacturing Engineering / Operations processes.
  • Proficient knowledge of integration processes between Central ME and GPS Operations plants.
  • Proficient knowledge of GM-GMS Principles and Workplace safety systems.
  • Proficient knowledge of Project Management methodologies (Waterfall, Agile)
  • Good knowledge of Automotive Vehicle / Propulsions System processes and product launch
  • Good knowledge of MS Project and MS Office applications
  • Good understanding of GPDP
  • Skills

  • Good verbal and written communication
  • Interpersonal, Problem solving & Analytical skills
  • Basic Quality tools
  • Basic coding skills on process automation and business intelligence tools (C/C++, Java, VB script, Python, Power BI etc.,)
  • Abilities

  • Ability to manage multiple and significant assignments with high level of autonomy and accountability for results.
  • High level of integrity, ability to deal with ambiguity, takes initiative/self-directed
  • Ability to drive initiative by reaching beyond work assigned to improve output and help others
  • Ability to implement and coach Global Manufacturing System (GMS) principles
  • Ability to work with intercultural, diverse & multi-disciplinary teams to achieve enterprise goals
  • Educational Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical / Production / Industrial / Automobile Engineering
  • Experience

  • 5+ years of manufacturing / manufacturing engineering experience in Automobile / Powertrain Engineering Industry
