Job Description

Rockwell is looking for an all-rounder Business System Analyst and Developer to join an agile team to build and support the ongoing QuickBase Application solutions. We are looking for someone who is well versed in Agile practices, is customer focused, has experience meeting the demands of enterprise customers, and has practical expertise in QuickBase.

Position Summary:

This role is responsible for the Designs, develops, documents, installs, and maintain the workflows, automation, and data supporting business processes. Carries out routine and semi routine tasks. Typically assigned to small projects or a phase of a larger project. Works under general supervision with few direct instructions. Is developing experience in IT solution creation and delivery with increased business acumen. Candidate should be able to guide the junior members in the team on all aspects of application development. The ideal candidate should be passionate about understanding existing solutions to understand current architecture, open to learning new technology stack, highly organized, action-oriented with hands on experience in building an end-to-end complex QuickBase application.

Analyzes business problems to be solved with automated systems. Provides technical expertise in identifying, evaluating, and developing systems and procedures that are cost effective and meet user requirements. Configures system settings and options; plans and executes unit, integration, and acceptance testing; and creates specifications for systems to meet business requirements. Designs details of automated systems. Provide consultation to users around automated systems. May lead cross-functional linked teams to address business or systems issues.

  • Responsibilities:

  • Work with subject matter experts to understand existing architecture.
  • Responsible for understanding, designing, and implementing solutions.
  • Able to gather cross-functional requirements and translate them into practical solutions.
  • Maintain documentation for architecture.
  • Perform software design using software development fundamentals and processes, debug, test, and deploy software solutions.
  • Collaborate with geographically distributed teams and be able to work closely with product managers, Process owners and relevant Business unit stakeholders.
  • Contribute to and promote good software engineering practices across the team.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve system problems and customer issues.
  • Taking ownership of project management decisions.
  • Work closely with local / regional stakeholders for the optimization of existing Business Processes, identify Process improvement opportunities and develop/recommend ways to improve.
  • Preferred Experience:

  • 2 to 5 + Years of Business Process experience
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, Able to make decisions using both quantitative and qualitative data
  • Must have hand of experience and knowledge of Microsoft Suites (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and Visio Flow
  • Well versed in Agile practices
  • Advanced documentation and writing skills
  • Served as facilitator for project meetings
  • Experience with multi-tasking and ability to deal with changes.
  • Individual must have a strong customer focus – for both internal and external customers.
  • Ability to work effectively and cooperatively in teams and across functions is required

  • Basic knowledge of QuickBase application is preferred with below preferred knowledge.

  • Experience and/or certified in JavaScript, jQuery, Jinja and/or any other scripting languages.
  • Experience as an Architect in designing and delivering web-based applications – knowledge on Quick Base configurations, Actions, Webhooks, Automations, Pipelines, and Integrations.
  • RESTful API integrations, OAuth, token-based authentication.
  • Testing Knowledge (System, Unit, End User, Blackbox & Integration Testing).
