Description

Hybrid: This position does not require an employee to be on-site full-time to perform most effectively. The employee's role enables them to work at a GM facility or off-site as frequently as needed or desired. This position requires an employee to be on-site on average 3 days per week

The Role

As Training & Strategic Planning lead, you will be responsible of identifying and assessing training needs, creating tailored training plans, and implementing various training methods to enhance employees' skills and performance for CCA Purchasing. Work requires considerable amount of initiative, independent judgment, command, ability to stand alone in addition to being able to teach, coach, help buyers while finding continuous improvement opportunities.

What You'll Do

  • Communicate with buyers and managers to identify training needs
  • Map out development plans for teams and individuals. Create offerings based on group needs and gap analysis
  • Manage, design, develop, coordinate, and conduct all training programs
  • Evaluate, mitigate, understand compliance and risk while balancing simplification
  • Create trainings for buyers, live sessions, video, procedures, or applicable format
  • Gain understanding of operational procedures and instructional effectiveness to drive implementation of improvement solutions
  • Train support & educate “how” and “why” in the development and delivery of classroom and e-learning training for Global Purchasing & Supply Chain core competencies
  • Serve as training and business process subject matter expert (SME)
  • Work with OE to standardize processes and trainings
  • Work in various initiatives to support Strategic Planning

    Your Skills & Abilities (Required Qualifications):

  • Have a minimum of 5 years of CCA Purchasing experience
  • Be skilled in developing materials to convey both concepts and information to targeted audiences
  • Have the ability to listen to the voice of the customer, guide, teach, and coach others
  • Bachelor's degree required
  • Creativity, innovation and open minded to new ideas
  • Desire to challenge status quo and bring improvements to existing processes
  • Proven ability to deal with ambiguity and to work with a high degree of autonomy
  • Highly developed oral and written communication skills
  • High level of capability to work independently
  • High level of interpersonal skills to work effectively with others and ability to collaborate cross-functionally
  • High level of planning and organizational skills
  • Proficient with Microsoft office products - Word, Excel, PowerPoint

  • Training experience
  • Strong knowledge of computer software: Camtasia, Lectora, SAP and SharePoint
