The Project Manager provides construction project management services for manufacturing plants (assembly, stamping, powertrain, casting, and paint), non-manufacturing sites and/or PDPM projects by overseeing all aspects of delivering completed projects.
Responsibilities include the completion of all work including site/civil, buildings, and utilities infrastructure for assigned projects from funding approval through stakeholder occupancy in addition to the following -
Initiate and organize project teams consisting of multi-discipline members from engineering, finance, purchasing, safety, contractors, and stakeholders.
Manage changing priorities and construction schedules.
Possesses the ability to decide and act without having the total picture, can handle multiple and concurrent diverse projects with minimal direct supervision, and can coordinate activities with key stakeholders and other disciplines.
Employ rigorous logic and methods to solve difficult schedule and construction problems with effective solutions; probes all fruitful sources for answers; can see hidden problems; is excellent at honest analysis; looks beyond the obvious and doesn't stop at the first answers.
Identify future issues related to construction schedules utilizing broad knowledge and perspective related to construction activities.
Future oriented and can create and execute competitive and breakthrough concepts related to facility design and construction.
Performs other related duties as assigned.
Bachelor's degree in engineering, architecture or related field
Minimum 3 years of experience in coordinating facilities design and construction activities
Exposure to Construction Contracts including engineering drawings and specifications
Exposure to Building codes and construction specifications
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Willing to travel within North America (Passport required)
