The Dealer Contractual Group (“DCG”) manages the Dealer Sales and Service Agreement (“DSSA”) GM has with its authorized Dealers. The DCG processes any changes the Dealers wish to make to their DSSA. This might include a Dealer selling out the dealership, changes to their ownership structure, changes to their facilities, relocations, etc. A Contractual Worker might handle 20 to 30 deals at a time. The key qualifications for the job would be multi-tasking, attention to detail, and strong oral and written communication skills.
Responsibilities
Process contractual changes consistent with the state franchise statutes and the Dealer Sales and Service Agreement
Collaborate with Dealers and GM stakeholders to secure documentation to process change requests
Assist Dealers, Dealer Candidates and GM field personnel to input information as needed to complete proposals in the Dealer Contractual Information Change Request (DCICR) system
Partner with Subject Matter Experts such as GM Legal and the Market Analysis Team to complete proposals
Counsel Dealers and GM field personnel on GM Dealer Contractual Group (DCG) policies and procedures
Meet with GM stakeholders and attorneys on Dealer proposals and current dealer network activities
Prepare Dealer contracts and GM Program Enrollment Forms
Complete Dealer activations and update Dealer information in appropriate GM systems
Maintain accurate contractual dealer data in the Dealer Network Planning System
Process and manage Dealer and GM Leadership requests
Leverage appropriate Check Sheets and template letters to complete change requests
Draft relevant custom dealer letters for Management/Legal review in response to Dealer questions and/or concerns regarding contractual/policy issues
Draft professional correspondence to respond to dealer change requests
Conduct financial analysis using excel based financial reports
Analyze candidate sales and profit forecasts and provide dealers with insight from composite groups
Complete Area Primary Responsibility (APR) notice requirements as outlined in the GM Sales and Service Agreement
Request and review background checks for Dealer candidates and other relevant parties
Complete Dealer add point information worksheets with information and exhibits provided by Dealer Network Planning and Investments (DNPI)
Provide deposition or testimony regarding the processing of the Dealer requests as required by Legal
Communicate internally and externally as necessary to complete business activities
Provide support to Dealers and GM personnel on the execution of contractual documents using the electronic signature process (GM E-Signature)
Participate in continuous improvement activities to improve processes and increase productivity
Maintain accurate electronic dealer files in the Dealer Management System (DMS) by uploading pertinent documents
Review DCG working files hosted in SharePoint annually to identify and remove select working files to ensure accurate compliance with ILM policies and procedures per the direction of the Dealer Organization Managers
Analyze, track, maintain and provide information on Dealer requests for quality control within the Dealer Contractual Information Change Request (DCICR) System
Assist Dealers with re-contracting activities
General office work related to processing Dealer requests and maintaining dealer files such as sending and retrieving faxes, routine scanning and copying etc.
Generate and distribute program enrollment forms to program coordinators
Manage outgoing and incoming email and mail
Required Qualifications
Must have a Bachelor's degree
Strong computer skills in Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and in managing database information
Strong attention to detail and the ability to multi-task
Effective analytical, statistical, and problem-solving skills
Good planning and organizational skills
Good oral, written and communication skills
Highly motivated
Good interpersonal skills and willingness to work in teams
