Description

Hybrid: This position does not require an employee to be on-site full-time to perform most effectively. The employee's role enables them to work at a GM facility or off-site as frequently as needed or desired

  • This position requires an employee to be onsite 1-3 times per week.
  • As a project lead in CCA demand forecasting, you will be responsible for multiple projects. You will act as a liaison between purchasing, engineering, warehousing/manufacturing, logistics and suppliers to resolve issues and to provide support.

    Responsibilities: Executes deliverables in support of the supply chain organization's business projects, such as GM Premium Import and Bright Drop. Position communicates to all levels of the organization, within the function as well as other functions and suppliers Position is responsible for supporting relationship management with logistic suppliers and service providers.

  • Ability to understand and assess complex supply chain issues and communicate in a cross functional environment to successful project deliver
  • Collaborate cross functionally to develop creative solutions.
  • Provide demand forecasting improvement solutions to organization's business projects, such as GM Premium Import and Bright Drop
  • Understand the forecasting approaches and forecast review process
  • Ability to translate forecasting volumes to financial impacts to the organization
  • Design project strategy to make sure the successful project deliveries
  • Ability to summarize critical issues with resolutions and communicate to leadership
  • Analyze metrics supporting supplier critical issues or sufficiency plan resolution.
  • Ability to be flexible and at times work extended and non-core hours to ensure issues are worked to resolution.
  • Ability to problem tackle complete issues and implement new and innovative strategies.
  • Provide support to other areas within Supply Chain, namely Backorder Recovery, Accessories, Supplier Management and Inventory Management.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of business tools, processes, and documentation.
  • Responsible to identify and recommend different forecasting/inventory strategies and methodologies related to end user tools, business processes and overall CCA Supply Chain strategy.

    Required qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree Preferred Major: Supply Chain Analytics / Business / Engineering

  • Demonstrated ability to manage and lead projects sustainably

  • Demonstrated ability to take initiative and identify opportunities for continuous improvement.
  • Demonstrated high level of analytical, organizational, project management and problem-solving skills where problems are unusual and difficult.
  • Demonstrated ability to show the finance impacts from forecast improvement
  • Integrity, Problem Solving, and Customer Focus.
  • Strong oral and written communications skills.
  • High level of interpersonal skills to work effectively with others
  • Experience working with machine learning/statistical methods for real world problems
  • Demonstrated competency in use of SQL, Python and Power BI
  • Infrequent travel may be required.
  • Detailed knowledge of supply chain concepts and understanding of how various groups impact each other.
  • Proven ability to work independently and take initiative for work and project planning
  • Ability to handle confidential information in an appropriate manner
