We're looking for an experienced Strategic Business Development Manager. The ideal candidate has experience within the drone community, manufacturers, and public safety in a sales capacity. This is a new role for our company that will have a significant impact on our revenue growth both domestically and internationally.

What would I be doing?

As the Strategic Business Development Manager, you will be responsible for defining and growing the DroneSense footprint within the drone management SaaS client base in public safety, fire, and first responders. You will understand trends within the market and determine which distribution partners (manufacturers and integrators) to focus on with opportunity pursuit. The Business Development Manager will play a critical role in overall revenue growth and will be responsible to create and manage qualified opportunities through the entire sales cycle. This role will own a book of business and is responsible for nurturing partner relationships, growing revenue year over year and working inbound leads to a close.

Responsibilities:

  • Assess partner and employer opportunities and qualify the type and number of partners needed to achieve objectives for pipeline growth
  • Evaluate channel opportunities and present recommendations to the DroneSense management team
  • Proactively recruit potential partners; lead exploratory discussions, structure and execute partnership agreements
  • Develop business plans with distribution partners to deliver sales volume, and meet DroneSense's strategic goals; conduct quarterly partner business reviews to analyze performance, set objectives and recommend corrective actions if necessary
  • Train partner alliance personnel to ensure that DroneSense is being well represented by respective partners in the Drone ecosystem
  • Orchestrate or support joint marketing events conducted by partners
  • Manage all aspects of the sales process to ensure adoption of DroneSense by partners and resellers to the public safety environment
  • Handle all incoming customer inquiries from initial contact to close of the sale
  • Maintain HubSpot database with accurate customer contacts and opportunity pipeline
  • Essential qualifications:

  • Required : 5+ years of direct selling and channel management experience in a B2B SaaS environment with Drone expertise
  • Experience working within the Drone industry, channel/BD program development and SaaS channel experience
  • Demonstrated analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to navigate a multi level sales process
  • Proven ability to manage multiple account management projects at a time, while maintaining sharp attention to detail, similar to a Project Management role in channel
  • Experience building relationships with channel partner executives
  • Self-starter who can work alone and in a collaborative manner to achieve team goals
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Proficiency in using G-Suite applications and HubSpot CRM software
