Responsibilities:

  • Recruit, mentor and lead a highly capable, diverse team of professionals, ensuring that the team is aligned with the mission, equipped with essential support and empowered to innovate and bring their best selves to work every day
  • Work closely with diverse internal and external stakeholders to ensure success of GM's supply of battery materials
  • Proactively build a whole-site success strategy that leverages the project plans by each supplier, the local community and governmental agencies
  • Maintain regular and frequent contact with critical stakeholders standing up supply in the Becancour mega site and ensure risks to project are identified early
  • Leverage stakeholders inside and outside GM to support successful project scope, cost and timing delivery
  • Remote: This position does not require employee to be on-site full-time to perform most effectively. The employee's role enables them to work off-site on a permanent basis.

    FOR GM INTERNAL CANDIDATES: This role is posted at the 8th level. The determination by HR and the Hiring Manager as to whether an offer will be lateral or promotional will be based on a candidate's relevant experience and whether the role will amount to a significant increase in level of responsibility.

    Additional Description

    Qualification:

  • Bachelor Degree OR MBA required
  • 8-10 years experience in supply chain or mining sales, mineral economics
  • Experience negotiating multiple complex commercial agreements for mined, refined and processed materials simultaneously
  • Experience leading business development and/or sales and marketing activities particularly in the mining, refining, processing industries
  • Experience with construction operations and ongoing operations of complex chemical processing plants
  • Experience building, developing and leading high performing teams
  • Track record of building highly influential and collaborative stakeholder relationships
  • Adept at engaging and influencing senior executives
  • Energized by ambiguity and the opportunity to appropriately create/adjust processes to the scale/phase of the business
