Description

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Work closely with engineering design teams to create, structure and release EBOMs, including part numbers, ECRs/ECOs/ECNs, and related technical drawings and documents
  • Coordinate, analyze and manage change requests as part of the cross- functional change management workflow using the existing BOM/PLM tools and SAP
  • Manage and coordinate part management and structuring within a defined workflows and PLM tool
  • Help manage vendors to gather build material status
  • As needed, migrate existing BOM and ECO data from our legacy system to our current PLM tool
  • As needed, assist in tracking and managing prototypes and in-house inventory of parts, assemblies and products
  • Create, track and update purchase requisitions, the associated purchase orders and goods/services received notifications in SAP.
  • Assist the finance team in performing periodic audits of existing open purchase requests and goods/services received activities.
  • Additional Description

    Qualifications and Skills:

  • 4+ years of hands-on experience working on hardware engineering change management practices
  • Knowledgeable on engineering change management procedures for early prototyping concept phases as well as the production design and development phases
  • Solid experience with hardware configuration management and managing engineering Bill of Materials (BOMs) and the Engineering Change Management workflows (ECRs->ECOs->ECNs)
  • Experience actively participating to change management reviews, approvals and data exchanges with the team, the team leader and internal members of other teams (procurement, manufacturing operations and supply chain)
  • Experience with PLM tools (e.g., Arena, Agile or equivalent)
  • Proficiency with the Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel
  • Able to work independently on several projects in parallel
  • Track record of working very in a fast-paced, team environment
  • High level of attention to detail and critical thinking
  • Very good verbal and written skills
  • Must be a team player, personable, professional and trustworthy
  • Demonstrate initiative to document and improve existing processes
  • Flexible approach to fluctuating workloads and daily demands
