Job Description

The Enterprise Disaster Recovery Tech Lead provides technical leadership in developing disaster recovery requirements and contingency plans associated with our teams to protect Mission-critical Systems and Services in the event of unforeseen disruptions. You will be responsible for planning, directing and coordinating activities on DR exercises, and it is crucial to ensure that Business Continuity (BC) and DR goals are accomplished and following goals RTO and RPO. The ideal candidate will provide complex program leadership within the enterprise and promotes partnerships between Cybersecurity team team and LBUs. You will oversee implementation of our contingency planning to mitigate risk associated with complete or partial failure of technology systems, availability of connectivity, IT facilities, and vendor services. You will coordinate and facilitate all BC/DR planning activities including risk- based exercises. Your work will also involve in driving the refinement of BC/DR plans, the business impact analysis (BIA) and risk assessments to meet the regulatory reporting requirements. You will oversee the IT operations following company risk management frameworks and ensure alignment with our expansion and increasing regulatory requirements.

Roles And Responsibilities

  • Demonstrate commitment in supporting our needs by collaborating with business stakeholders, business unit's BC Tech Lead and DR Tech Lead in the development of a BC/DR Management Program.
  • Responsible for the development, implementation, review and facilitate of the enterprise-wide Rockwell automation BC/DR Program including assessing any technology risks. This includes establishing, maintaining and managing continuous improvement of enterprise DR strategy, standards, processes, maturity models, methodologies, metrics, scorecards, and incorporate best practices using internal and external resources.
  • Develop BC/DR plans by working collaboratively with technology subject matter experts to document system applications and supporting infrastructure.
  • Engage and collaborate with LBUs to review/validate the BC/DR readiness and crisis management capabilities. Lead, manage, oversee and help implement all BC/DR plans from group technology operations function aspect.
  • Help conduct business applications impact analysis with business, application, domain and platform owners to identify important systems and resources necessary to resume operations of these services in the event of a disruption.
  • Conduct and manage BC/DR exercises and drills to ensure systems meet business and resiliency requirements. Follow-up on areas of improvements and findings.
  • Support the teams to maintain a group level BC/DR program with a periodic/yearly planned schedule. Develop a multi-year roadmap for the BC/DR Management Program.
  • Facilitate/coordinate periodic reviews, updates, and signoffs to ensure completion of critical recovery documentation consistent with approved corporate policies, standards, and procedures. Lead remediation of corrective actions identified as part of exercises and audits.
  • Analyze and measure the effectiveness of existing BC/DR service delivery and business processes and develop sustainable, repeatable, and quantifiable improvements.
  • Orchestrate the execution of the BC/DR plans when a business disruption occurs. Be responsible for data centers and systems recovery and serve as the main contact point of cybersecurity leadership teams ensuring that technologies and processes support all important availability and recovery requirements.
  • Research and recommend possible automated approaches for BC/DR tasks.
  • Conduct BC/DR weekly status reporting, BC/DR readiness reviews, milestone reviews and post exercise reviews.
  • Consolidate BC/DR planning and post documentation for compliance review.
  • Maintain contact list of Group BCM, DRM and technical domain person in charge.
  • Conduct and/or facilitate "tabletop" exercises with teams and senior management, for training purposes and for validation of BC/DR plans.
  • Create and conduct BCP/BCM/DR training and awareness program.
  • Help with incident management protocols during events.
  • Participating in IT change management / ticket reviews, approvals, and planning.
  • Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
  • Legal authorization to work in the US is required. We will not sponsor individuals for employment visas, now or in the future, for this job opening.
  • Preferred Qualifications

  • Typically requires at least 8 years of experience in Information Technology
  • Have 5 years of deep understanding and hands-on experience in IT BCP and DR Management, techniques and principles
  • Track record and have experience leading BC Plans and Technology DR exercises.
  • Familiarity with legacy and modern IT Infrastructure architectures & related technologies and network/web related protocols.
  • Experience with storage and backup services would be desirable.
  • Must understand cloud computing and IAAS services for IT DR.
  • Solid experience in project management and execution in the area of IT Infrastructure / Operations.
  • Sound technical knowledge in ITIL, IT operations, project methodology and tools.• Certification in DR, BCP, ITIL and Project Management
  • Background in regulated global companies (financial institutions, pharmaceutical, healthcare, or similar).
