This position is required to be onsite full time.
At GM environmental, we are geared towards developing creative solutions to
complex environmental challenges. As an environmental engineer at the
Brownstown facilities, you will have the opportunity to champion the air,
waste and water compliance programs and be responsible for developing programs
to reduce environmental risk. You will work cross functionally with diverse
groups to create and implement best-in-class, sustainable solutions to improve
environmental compliance and sustainability across the site. This role will
support two facilities on the cutting-edge of GM technology, the Brownstown
Battery (EV) Assembly plant and Fuel Cell Systems Manufacturing facility. We
are currently looking for hardworking individuals who have a passion for the
environment and who want to help make the facility a leader in environmental
compliance and sustainability.
This is an onsite role. The qualified candidate will be required to report to
the facility full-time.
Qualifications
Skills:
Experience in Air Permitting, Storm Water Permitting, and/or Small
Quantity Hazardous Waste Generator Requirements.
Experience:
Experience in environmental engineering or related science, preferably at
a manufacturing operation.
Basic knowledge of the automotive manufacturing processes is preferred.
Education:
Bachelor's degree with a major in engineering or related sciences with
emphasis on environmental engineering preferred.
Commitment to ongoing professional development.
CHMM certification, PE License or CEP certification preferred.
