Description

As a member of the EV Supply Chain Launch Team, you will be responsible for supporting the launch execution of electric vehicles in Spring Hill's vehicle assembly plant. Your ultimate responsibility is to ensure the production operator has access to the parts needed to build each vehicle within their work zone.

This position is a unique opportunity to influence the way Spring Hill Assembly Plant operates. As a member of the EV Supply Chain Launch Team, you will be responsible for supporting the launch execution of electric vehicles in Spring Hill's vehicle assembly plant. Your ultimate responsibility is to ensure the production operator has access to the parts needed to build each vehicle within their work zone.

RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO:

  • Drive launch excellence deliverables associated with (SPQRCE) to develop a lineside plan for every part
  • Optimize floor space, materials, personnel, and equipment
  • Execute deliverables in support of the supply chain organization's launch objectives to ensure supply chain operational readiness.
  • Ability to understand and assess complex material storage issues and lead teams in a cross functional environment to successfully resolve issues minimizing impacts to vehicle production. Collaborate cross functionally to develop creative solutions to material presentation problems.

  • Summarize critical issues with resolutions and communicate to leadership.

  • Be flexible and at times work extended and non-core hours to ensure issues are worked to resolution
  • KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITY:

  • Strong understanding of supply chain operational functions
  • Planning and organizational abilities
  • High level of analytical ability where problems are unusual and difficult
  • Proven history of implementing new and innovative strategies
  • Ability to learn on the fly
  • Basic Required:

  • High level of interpersonal skills to work effectively with others
  • Strong analytical, computer, presentation, and problem solving skills
  • High level of analytical ability & problem solving where problems are unusual and difficult
  • Ability to work independently
  • Knowledge of work measurement/work standards, ergonomic principles, material optimization, and facility layout strongly preferred
  • Knowledge of basic manufacturing and assembly processes
  • Knowledge of supply chain process
  • High level of communication skills, both oral and written, and the ability to present findings to all levels of the organization.
  • Ability to deal with and manage stressful situations.
  • General understanding of GSC Material Systems such as MGO, GEPICS, GMOS
  • Basic Preferred:

  • Assembly Plant experience
  • Product launch or project management experience
