About Position The position of Experiential Operations Manager is a part of the growing

experiential marketing team. This role would report directly to the Head of Experiential Marketing in Europe. We are looking for someone with 8 or more years of experience in planning, managing and executing world class events. An individual who demonstrates flexibility, resilience, leadership and initiative. This person needs to embrace a customer obsessed mindset and who has the drive to deliver unforgettable experiences to customers.

Travel within Europe will be required. 3 Days work from the Zurich HQ will be required with 2 days home office

permitted per week.

Start date: as soon as possible Required skills and experience
  • Minimum 8 years of experience in leading world-class events,

    conferences, exhibitions or roadshows.

  • International experience is preferable
  • Ability to collaborate cross functionally
  • Agency experience is a plus
  • Highly competent in compiling concise executive summary decks for
    leadership reviews
    
  • Accustomed to multi-tasking (e.g. planning numerous events in
    different regions concurrently) and working across time zones
    
  • Excellent proficiency in English is a non negotiable
  • Demonstrates excellent attention to detail; carries out
    responsibilities with high precision
    
  • Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills; takes a customer-
    service approach with internal and external stakeholders
    
  • Excellent written, verbal communications and presentation skills.
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
  • Strong budget management skills
  • Strong vendor management skills
  • Strong people management skills
  • You remain composed under high pressure and pace and are seasoned in
    navigating the demanding nature of working in events
    
  • You take initiative to put forward new ideas and provide/accept
    constructive feedback
    
  • You are flexible and can adapt to changing priorities across
    departments and teams
    
  • You are an experienced Project Manager
  • You demonstrate a high sense of service and operational excellence
  • “Can-do” attitude, able to analyze problems quickly and find
    solutions proactively
    
  • Excellent leadership and decision-making skills.
  • Strong ability to prioritize and work well under pressure (when
    required, able to work evenings and weekends for special events)
    
  • Engaged, dynamic and strong team player.
  • Activities and responsibilities
  • Responsible for budget and expense management, operations and

    logistics, supported with our agency partners for a, 365 day a year, events roadshow for the business in multiple countries

  • Representing GM Europe in the management of and as key point of
    contact for external experiential and other agencies
    
  • Develops and executes experiential marketing plans and programs
    designed to increase attendance, build community and drive a “brand for
    me” metric stemming from event participation
    
  • Works with other departments to ensure that business objectives and
    messaging for events are aligned
    
  • Manages all aspects of event planning and execution, backed by agency
    support, including but not limited to: budgeting, contracting, event
    logistics, registration, website updates, on-site coordination, and post-
    event follow-up
    
  • Develop and manage project plans for assigned events
  • Manage post-event wrap-up, reconciliation and reporting
  • Ensuring every event is traced, tracked and reported on with regards
    to CO2 emissions, with support from 3rd party agency
