The GA Maintenance Technical Lead will lead the maintenance team on their respective shifts, through proactive, routine, and emergency maintenance activities all the while adhering to GMS requirements and being customer focused.
Job Responsibilities:
Enforce safe work practices as the highest priority
Align with the terms of local and national labor agreements
Implement divisional and corporate policies
Accountable for use of personnel, material and equipment
Coach, develop and evaluate employees
Establishing course of action to accomplish completion of the job and/or project
Lead technical guidance for sophisticated and unusual plant operations or projects
Acquires a deep knowledge and drive implementation of GMS principles
Develop a proactive safety culture by engaging team members and peers in our safety processes
Review weekend / shutdown planning and assign workforce as required
Actively engage and drive upcoming weekend work and major projects
Support line operations (major breakdowns, GL coverage)
Process all upcoming preventative maintenance items through MAXIMO
Plan for Change Lead for Maintenance (Productivity, Station re- arrangements, Product Changes, Model Year changes, PCP/TEB updates, etc.)
Ensure all parts are available and ready for weekend/opportunistic work
Review breakdowns with Group Leaders, Skilled Trades, and Engineering to develop action plans - debrief
Time and Attendance: update Overtime Equalization tracking sheet, update Leave of Absence tracking sheet, vacation planning, post and review Overtime Offerings Signup Sheet
Schedule compliance training for Skilled Trades
Perform General Duties as Requested by Shift Leader/Area Manager
Interface with VS for new work implementation and decommissioning of obsolete equipment
Conduit for Production TIP initiatives; connect with Maintenance TIP
Manage 3rd party contractors as required
Minimum Requirements:
Bachelor's Degree equivalent experience
2+ years of Maintenance experience or program execution
GMS Savvy – trained, practiced and lived
Proficient in Problem Solving/Continuous Improvement
Labour Relations Training
Experience in plant floor systems
Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, Excel)
Ability to work in high paced environment
