Description

Major Duties & Responsibilities include:

  • Manage a global Aftersales Engineering team
  • Lead Aftersales Engineering readiness for China export (SGMW, SAIC- Maxus) programs
  • Lead Aftersales Engineering readiness and execution of GM Premium Import programs including the development and delivery of Global Aftersales Engineering deliverables (Service Manuals, Owner's Manuals, Labor Time Guides, Scan Tool Software, Service Reprogramming, Delivery Systems, Special Service Tools, etc., in order to meet Vehicle-At-Dealer timing) for all assigned programs including SGMW export and SAIC-Maxus
  • Support or facilitate SGM, PATAC, SGMW JVs on Aftersales Engineering topics where they need GM support to execute or optimize their Aftersales Engineering responsibilities
  • Manage aftersales launch schedule for identified launches in GMIO markets
  • Prepare and provide executive updates at necessary forums
  • Coordinate department response to objective updates/challenges at leadership forums and 1 – 1s
  • Develop & execute Workplace of Choice initiatives to drive stronger employee engagement and customer focus. Work cross-functionally ensure alignment with culture, vision, and business priorities
  • Lead special projects and studies, including work with Joint Ventures
  • Meet GTO structural cost target & global headcount commitments
  • Additional Description

    Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor degree or equivalent experience
  • Knowledge of Global Aftersales Engineering and Service Operations and Global Product Development deliverables & activities
  • Ability to work independently and as a member of a team
  • Skilled at working effectively with others at all levels of the organization, across global regions and with JVs
  • Develop and grow cooperative relationships with global and local partners. Ability to influence without authority.
  • Enjoy working in environment of ambiguity
  • Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams
  • Proven capability in managing a variety of responsibilities simultaneously
  • Professional and organized, self-starter with managerial courage to listen, provide clear direction and feedback with all levels across the organization including executives
  • Quantitative and analytical skills with attention to detail
  • Demonstrated accountability for results
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Highly proficient in presentation development and the use of Microsoft Office products
  • Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master's degree
  • Relevant international experience
  • OpEx, GoFast! And/or GMS coach/coordinator
