The Opportunity
As a Global Certification Expert , you will have immediate and REAL IMPACT in expanding the reach of our robots globally. In this pivotal role, you will lead the certification of our robots for non-EU markets, ensuring they meet international standards and reach customers worldwide. We possess extensive expertise in certifying legged robots, including the design of the world's first explosion-proof model.The advanced design of our robots enables heavy industries to automate routine inspections and incorporate highly mobile robots into their inspection and workforce strategies. You will leverage the extensive certification and technical expertise of ANYbotics to achieve the company's goals and bring your knowledge to further develop the team and grow your own skills. Communication with key external partners such as regulatory agencies, notified bodies, and test labs is a regular aspect of this role, as is collaboration with a diverse group of internal stakeholders such as the development and the product management teams. Strong project management skills are essential for success in this position.

ANYmal and ANYmal X are amazing robots that deliver immense value to our customers, and it is imperative we meet regulatory requirements, and meet Global certifications standards in order to deploy and meet the high demand for autonomous inspection. You will shape the certification roadmap and have influence on the success of the world's first legged Ex Robot!
The Market & Our Technology
ANYbotics transforms industrial plants in the energy, process, and utility sector by introducing robotics to a wide range of novel applications that so far were beyond reach. Our customers are large asset operators and industrial service providers pioneering the use of robotics technology for inspection and maintenance. Our products enable autonomous routine inspections and monitoring of large scale industrial facilities for increased safety and productivity. We develop numerous customized hardware systems, including the entire robotic platform, actuators, sensors, inspection payloads, charging systems, as well as all software to enable world-class mobility, autonomy and AI driven inspection insights. We have proven the technology and the business impact to our customers in long-term pilot projects and are scaling-up sales of our commercial solution.
Your Contributions Accelerate our global certification reach of our Ex- and Non-Ex-proof robots, achieving compliance in key non-EU markets such as North America, Brazil, Japan, Middle East
Foster relationships with customers, resellers and partners in order to better understand the needs of non-EU markets
Shape our product certification roadmap in collaboration with internal and external stakeholders
Pursue and proactively hone relationships with regulatory authorities, notified bodies, testing facilities and global certification partners
Maintain and expand certification-relevant knowledge and evidence (e.g. data packages, design documentation, certificates of compliance)
Preferred MsC or BsC / FH in conjunction with significant and relevant industrial traction
3+ years of experience of working in a product-driven industrial setting
Strong project management skills. Great communication skills and the capacity to facilitate the resolution of complex multidisciplinary challenges
Relevant experiences with industrial product certification, compliance topics, e.g. robotics, mechatronics, medical or aerospace background
Experience with identifying and interpreting standards from different fields for a specific application
Fluent English speaker
Expertise in Ex certification
Design and certification of products intended for potentially explosive environments
Expertise in compliance for the USA, Brazil or Japan
Good understanding of the machinery directive (e.g. performed a product risk assessment) and
Knowledge of functional safety (e.g. development of safety functions)
