Our team is also tasked with accelerating EV adoption through education, engagement, charging solutions, & infrastructure across all charging domains, serving multiple cohorts: customers, employees, dealers, and policymakers. The team works across the organization to accelerate EV adoption, deliver a superior shopper and owner experience, support the flawless launch of EVs, and develop new lines of business for GM.
Summary of Responsibilities
The Assistant Manager – EV Adoption & Integrations is responsible for leading the definition, implementation and execution of digital solutions that help accelerate EV adoption through education & engagement, catering to three cohorts: customers, dealers, & fleets. This role will work cross-functionally and oversee the launch and ongoing management of EV digital solutions, including but not limited to EV Showroom, that span globally, with an immediate focus on the US & Canada. This individual will also play a critical role in identifying, defining, managing cross-functionally, and executing the integration of various teams and solutions into the Ultium Home eCommerce experience and customer journey, including but not limited to installation partners, GM myAccount, vinless experience, data providers, etc.
This position requires someone who is a self-starter, fast learner and always thinks customer first. We are searching for an individual who can effectively prioritize and thrive in an ambiguous / fast-paced environment. The successful candidate for this role will be passionate about customer experience, understand digital best practices, and bring innovative ideas for how to aid in EV adoption and support customers shopping and buying energy products and services.
This position reports to the Manager of Ultium Home Digital Products.
Key Job Activities
Act as the business lead for EV Adoption digital tools, providing the strategy for EV Adoption identified products
Ownership and implementation of identified EV Adoption digital tools, including planning, communication, reporting, analysis, and vendor management
Partner with the Ultium Home digital team to support initiatives of integration into the Ultium Home ecosystem: including internal and external partners
Partner with the EV Adoption Product leads to manage product features, work with IT and PMO teams to create user stories for development team and manage the feature backlog to support the agile development of deliverables and digital tools
Create and deploy robust communication plan and messaging strategies and manage deliverables
Conduct effective project updates for stakeholders – including leadership – as required
Identify strategies to grow engagement among users
Establish program measurement (KPIs, reporting) and monitor performance, recommend countermeasures where appropriate for all digital tools for EV Adoption
Lead weekly project team meetings with stakeholders to ensure projects are on task, taking adaptive and corrective measures
Perform research on new ideas / initiatives to further accelerate EV Adoption
Partner with IT-DEV and QA teams to ensure comprehensive user acceptance testing/training plans are developed/executed and applications are successfully transitioned to production
Follow GM standard software development and deployment processes in functional specifications, user interface and database designs, testing methodology, training, and change management
Support broader EV Adoption and Ultium Home strategies and projects as required
Instill a culture of organizational excellence, including proactive, collaborative, supportive engagement cross-company
Embrace data-driven & customer insights to inform plans, launches, and iterations
Establish a strong, effective, & empathetic rapport with teams across- company to ensure all programs launch flawlessly and with high Dealer, customer, stakeholder enthusiasm
Ensure a culture of performance: establish bold targets, key performance indicators, and proactively employ countermeasures based on performance of programs vs objectives
Develop and present GM internal leadership updates with pre-reads and compelling storytelling
Launch with excellence, celebrate success, learn from failure
Champion brand & country integration (Chevrolet, Cadillac, Buick-GMC, Fleet, BrightDrop, cruise, OnStar) and ensure program status through effective communications
Meaningfully champion diversity, equity, and inclusion
5+ years experience in marketing, sales, project or program management, and/or customer experience
Experience with dealers or dealer operations a plus
Ability to learn GM database tools as needed
Bachelor's degree preferred; or, at minimum, a college diploma with relevant experience
Familiarity with EV trends, industry, and competitive landscape
Strong written and verbal communication skills, including demonstrated ability to report and present to senior leadership on a frequent basis
