About the Role:

We are seeking to hire the Assistant Manager, Government & Agency Projects to join the GM Energy team. Key responsibilities of the role require the incumbent to drive adoption of clean energy products through the development, planning, and execution of strategic government projects & demonstrations. The role covers existing and future Distributed Energy Resource products & solutions. The candidate will assist in aligning teams/leaders on new government agency projects, own end-to-end project management, and contribute towards leadership presentations to influence stakeholders.

This position reports to the Chief of Staff, Ultium Commercial & Energy Cloud Services.

Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate cross functionally to assess future strategic project opportunities and highlight fit, pros, cons, risks, threats, and opportunities.
  • Support delivery of strategic opportunities from proposal stage through implementation
  • Work closely with finance teams to develop financial forecasts - revenue, cost, profit, investments, cash flows along with sensitivity analysis and budget implications of opportunities.
  • Collaborate closely with the Public Policy organization on position alignment & engagement management.
  • Develop and deliver both internal and external-facing tools and presentation materials.

    Required Skills / Experience / Education:

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in Renewable Energy industry
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience with government contracting and/or grant proposals.
  • Experience working with government agencies: DOE, DOT, etc.
  • Knowledge of relevant US policy & regulations is a plus.
  • Strong project and budget management skills with a proven track record of efficiently executing work to completion at a high level of quality.
  • Willing to travel 25-30% of the time.

    Compensation: The median level of salary compensation for this role is 90,223 -144,123 USD Annual

    Bonus Potential: An incentive pay program offers payouts based on company performance, job level, and individual performance.
