Summary of Responsibilities

We are seeking to hire an Assistant Manager – Ultium Home Go-To-Market who will support go-to-market launch & performance of Ultium Home Hardware and Software products. This role will work cross-functionally & cross-border, supporting the launch and ongoing management of Ultium Charging products & Ultium Home Home Energy Management Systems & Software. Geographic scope is the US & Canada, with potential expansion to other global markets.

This role will produce results that don't need explaining by producing go-to- market materials to a highly trained and engaged Ultium Home sales network that understands our product positioning in the market in a customer focused manner.

This position reports to the Manager – Ultium Home Go-To-Market

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the development, implementation, and go-to-market plan for Ultium Home Products:
  • Develop and create merchandising & product marketing plans in close collaboration with the GM Energy Marketing team and agency partners for all Ultium Home Sales Channels.
  • Integrate products & messaging in Ultium Home Sales Channels as well as within Ultium Charge 360
  • Design communications considerate of all sales channels and consumer touchpoints: GM/Brands, Dealers, E-Commerce, Direct/EV Live, Partner sales channels
  • Work closely with the Strategic Partnerships – Ultium Home team and GM Financial on financing and extended warranty options for Retail consumers.
  • Work with Digital Operations, DBT & DRP teams as well as Ultium Home E-commerce sales channel and Sales Operations team to integrate charging products in eCommerce platforms.
  • Collaborate with all Ultium Home Sales Channels, including Dealer, E-Commerce, EV Live and Direct Sales Channel teams to ensure products are properly represented and promoted.
  • Develop & maintain competitive comparisons & intelligence
  • Lead pricing and sales incentive initiatives on Ultium Home portfolio, in collaboration with EVGRO Finance
  • Collaborate with GM Energy Marketing and Training teams to develop marketing, training & promotional assets to enable sales performance and strong product knowledge
  • Develop product deployment including Field & Dealer readiness, e-Commerce readiness, Direct Sales Channel / EV Live readiness, launch materials, training, etc
  • Develop and present GM internal leadership updates on program performance and sales & CX objective tracking.
  • Develop communications & resources for Ultium Home sales channels, customers, and key stakeholders:

  • Develop resources to enhance Field, Dealer, e-commerce, Direct & Partner sales channel understanding of Ultium Home products and services and the planning / requirements / recommendations for vehicle charging, V2G & V2X capabilities
  • Work cross-company and cross-agency to develop engaging content
  • Develop materials in alignment with sales channel programs
  • Lead agencies & suppliers supporting portfolio go-to-market
  • Oversee all GM Internal and Dealer network Ultium Home product communications
  • Additional Description

    Required Skills / Experience / Education

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business Administration or related field, or equivalent, relevant experience.
  • Highly driven marketing professional who excels in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to develop high performing and accountable teams through influence (cross-company)
  • Proven track record partnering with GM dealers to deliver mutually beneficial outcomes
  • Proven track record supporting complex projects (planning, business case development)
  • Experience within automotive marketing with particular emphasis on digital.
  • Demonstrated high level of interpersonal skills required to build and maintain relationships across an organization.
  • Experience working in a fast-paced start-up technology environment is preferred.
  • Experience working in an advertising agency is preferred.
  • Experience establishing sales performance standards and KPIs preferred.
  • Expert-level knowledge of EVs, EV Charging Networks, Home EV Charging products and Installation services.
  • A prolific communicator with highly proficient presentation skills and strong verbal, non-verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong intellectual horsepower and proven ability to take complex technical product offerings and simply them for consumers and sales teams is required.
  • Strong computer software and analytics skills, especially Microsoft Office, with particular emphasis on Microsoft Excel and the ability to take complex amounts of data and develop key insights and actions.
  • Willing to travel up to 25% of the time, as necessary to execute responsibilities of the position
