Participates and lead on audit assignments and supports Audit Management in the planning and execution of audits in line with the vision and strategy of General Motor Audit Services (GMAS).
GMAS provides independent, objective assurance and advisory services designed to strengthen General Motors Company's operations. The objective of GMAS is to assist senior management and the board in the effective discharge of their responsibilities by providing independent controls assurance, analysis, recommendations, and information concerning activities reviewed. The scope of GMAS responsibility and work includes, but is not limited to, evaluating the adequacy and effectiveness of the Company's risk management, internal control and governance processes, as well as the quality of performance in carrying out the Company's stated goals and objectives.

EDUCATION/TRAINING:
Required :
• Bachelor degree with major in accounting or business administration or related area equivalent experience;
Preferred/Optional :
• Graduate Degree
• Professional certification (CIA, CPA or other similar certification)
EXPERIENCE:
Required :
• Significant Internal audit or relevant experience or combined auditing, accounting, consulting, or process re-engineering experience
• Big 4 CPA Firm experience
• At least 5 years experience in internal or external auditing combined
Preferred/Optional :
• Relevant Industry Experience in automotive industry
• Familiar with SOX and FCPA requirements and IIA standards
• Operational experience in manufacturing, sales and marketing, purchasing, engineering, etc.
