Onsite: This position requires an employee to be on-site on a full-time basis.

The Role:

GPS PPO Program Planner - Transmission and Electrification role is a “cross-functional” role, work from work, that collaborates with Product Engineering, PPO, GPS Lab Operations, Manufacturing, Quality, Global Supply Chain, and other key organizations in planning successful build events, enabling the handoff to GPS plants for successful Launch. Work involves high degree of accuracy and ability to make decisions within the limits of general policies and procedures. Independent judgment is used, with leader available to handle unusual situations.

What You'll Do:

  • The “go to” voice for all GPS PPO readiness and build activities.

  • Frequent contact with stakeholders outside the work group.

  • Must be proactive to follow-up on supplied information, for clarification / missing inputs.

  • Integrates within organization as well as outside of organization to follow up on key milestone events.

  • Takes a “Go and See” approach to check status, problem solve and seek solutions.

  • Ability to lead others to follow process and identify where there are gaps and develop solutions.

  • Strong “Look Ahead” behavior demonstrated by an ability to foresee upcoming pain points and create countermeasures before they arise.

  • Manage escalation inside and outside of the organization to enable build progression.

    Your Skills & Abilities (Required Qualifications):

  • Bachelor's degree in business/engineering related curriculum (preferred), or equivalent experience.

  • 5+ years experience in the business environment

  • High level of analytical ability, communication and interpersonal skills required to build relationships with team members and customers to solve problems and resolve issues.

  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects and assignments with a high level of autonomy and accountability for results.

  • Good focus on the main priorities / outputs to get assignments completed on time.

  • Ability to handle projects /situations that are complex in nature.

  • Working knowledge of EVOS and EMS systems and related processes.

  • Proficient in Excel, and other MS tools inclusive of Word and PowerPoint.

  • Knowledge of GPDP timing and relevance to PPO build events.

  • Ability to have flexible work hours.

  • What Will Give You A Competitive Edge (Preferred Qualifications):

  • Working knowledge of GPS Master Build Schedule and information.

  • Understanding of Momentum and Program Master Timing

  • Engineering Material System (EMS/ EMS Web)

  • Consolidated Shipping and Tracking System (CSTS)

  • Program Plan Change Request (PPCR) Process

  • Plant Build process
