Description

Hybrid: This position does not require an employee to be on-site full-time to perform most effectively. The employee's role enables them to work at a GM facility or off-site as frequently as needed or desired. This position requires an employee to be on-site on average 3 days per week

The Role

As a part readiness and availability lead you will be responsible for overseeing SPAC and Back Orders cases and provide support from the Purchasing standpoint. You will be the main point of contact between Purchasing and Supply Chain. Work requires a considerable amount of initiative, problem solving, independent judgment, command, and the ability to stand alone.

What You'll Do

  • Create visibility for Purchasing and Supply Chain of backorders, lead time and SPAC (Service Parts Assistance Center) cases
  • Support SPAC escalation/resolution
  • Purchasing lead for Top Focus Supplier meetings. Summarize highlights by supplier, keep track of schedule and agenda changes, identify, and engage CCA (Customer Care and Aftersales) purchasing champions
  • Work directly with CCA Command Center and Ship Direct teams to ensure we are aligned on focus Back Order
  • CCA Purchasing Lead for BTAB (Business Transfer Approval Board)
  • Track open BTABs, identify risks and keep GCM's informed on status
  • Communicate U85 updates (Mfg. Duns Change Requests) to the Initial Order team Weekly
  • CCA Launch Readiness coordinator – provide program readiness to PPM (Program Purchasing Management)
  • Responsible for helping to push parts through the PRCS (Product Release and Change System) process flow
  • Act as a single point contact for purchasing recall related activities
  • Help clean up in IO (Initial Order) pending parts

    Your Skills & Abilities (Required Qualifications):

  • Bachelor's degree required
  • 5+ years relevant Purchasing or Supply Chain experience
  • Creativity, innovation, and open-mindedness to new ideas
  • Proven ability to deal with ambiguity and to work with a high degree of autonomy
  • High level of interpersonal skills to work effectively with others
  • Ability to collaborate cross-functionally
  • Attention to detail, independent judgement
  • Clear and concise communications, verbal and written
  • Proficient with Microsoft office products - Word, Excel, PowerPoint
