JOB DESCRIPTION

Grading Senior Project Manager (flexible location) Take your next career step at ABB with a global team that is energizing

In this position, you will lead the execution of internal strategic projects at multi-national, regional, or global function level using ABB and/or 3rd party resources. (Internal strategic projects are defined as improvement or change projects that add value to the business by improving processes and/or related activity costs by meeting clearly defined strategic objectives, schedules, and budgets, having a duration of at least 12 months.) You will also lead project execution in accordance with company procedures, relevant cyber security regulations and standards, project objectives, applicable quality standards, safety requirements and cost and scheduling targets. In addition, you will apply project management processes as applicable. You will report to the Internal Projects Manager. The ideal candidate is based in Europe or the United States (Eastern time-zone). Willingness to travel is required (around 10%).

Your responsibilities
  • Leads the project team allocated to the project, defining main guidelines, allocating project tasks, and motivating and monitoring internal and/or external resources to accomplish all tasks and milestones.
  • Ensures compliance to relevant cyber security regulations, standards, and contractual requirements.
  • Develops and gains approval for a business case defining the value proposition of the project.
  • Monitors and controls project cost and financials. Identifies, contains, and reduces risk and ensures that all opportunities are captured and acted upon.
  • Formalizes acceptance of the project and concludes all project activities.
  • Effectively communicates appropriate information to stakeholders in a timely manner to achieve desired understanding and support.
  • Defines and applies project scheduling techniques to manage schedule risks proactively to avoid possible future schedule deviations with OTD impact.
  • Identifies and plans all document deliverables required by the contractual scope of work and incorporates this plan into the overall project plan/schedule.
  • Tracks document progress and follows-up on overdue comments from customer.

  • Minimum 10 years of Project and Program Management experience required
  • Experience with large-scale transformation and/or change management projects
  • Strong Compensation & Benefits experience is an advantage
  • Grading experience is an advantage
  • Experience with executive stakeholders management
  • Must be able to work in complex transformation environment
  • Proactive mindset, organized work-style, strong in planning and coordination, ability to work within a team
  • Fluent English language skills
