We are seeking High School Interns to develop professionally and to prepare students to tackle today's challenges and become tomorrow's leaders. In this unique role, high school interns can make a great impact to General Motors' Fort Wayne Assembly Plant, while simultaneously preparing for their future.

Responsibilities:

· Help with documentation and analyzing data.

· Analyze process and technology to provide improvements.

· Assist in 3D Printing process.

Additional Description

Qualifications:

· Qualify to participate in an out-of-school internship program

· Willing to work in a plant environment

· Current High School Student at Homestead High School or Leo Sr. High School

· Interested in majoring in an Engineering related field.

Desired Skills:

· Outstanding interpersonal and relationship management skills to effectively collaborate with varying levels of the organization as needed

· Demonstrates leadership in course work, extra-curricular activities, or service organizations

· Strong critical thinking and analytical skills

· Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously, with differing timelines

· Willingness to ask questions, take initiative and be resourceful and inventive

· Excellent written and verbal communication skills

· High level of integrity, ability to deal with ambiguity, takes initiative/self-directed

· Evidence of strong character with integrity, honesty, accountability, and trust
