Description

Industrial Engineer will work directly with production in implementing lean manufacturing systems. They will analyze throughput data to help departments improve performance. They will be responsible to handle standardized work for future products alongside the core team and help to launch extraordinary products. In steady state, they will drive continuous improvement projects.

Reporting functions:

  • Generate and maintain Global Workbook files monthly for multiple sectors
  • Cross check authorized headcount monthly
  • Lead headcount budget setting for the site
  • Create and maintain salary headcount templates
  • Develop headcount reports as necessary for hiring activities and to meet productivity targets
  • Prepare manpower data for weekly union meeting
  • Process manpower authorization requests & help with budgeting-allocation decisions
  • TIP functions:

  • Responsible for Level 1 Throughput Improvement Process (TIP) Reporting
  • Review the Level 1 TIP with staff once per week
  • Prepare for distribution the General Assembly department TIP reports once per week
  • Rotate attendance in area TIP meetings to assist in developing more effective TIP reporting/meetings. Provide coaching as needed.
  • Create and teach classes on TIP and data collection to all levels of the organization
  • Complete annual TIP health check
  • Monitor WebTip models & reporting. Provide communication if discrepancies need addressed
  • Assist IE Lead to ensure planned line speed changes are input into the simulation and will make rate
  • IE functions:

  • Assist IE Team with assignments as time allows (line speed checks, PCP checks, and job validations)
  • Base Line Knowledge

  • Bachelor's Degree in Industrial / Manufacturing Engineering or related area
  • Minimum 3 years Industrial Engineering Experience
  • Advanced Excel skills
  • Ability to organize, plan, and teach
  • High level of analytical ability
