This is a Hybrid position. The role will allow employees to work offsite but will also require onsite work based on business needs. The selected candidate will be expected to commute to the innovation center to which they are assigned as their primary GM facility. This position requires an employee to be onsite 1-3 times per week.
About the role:
Insider Threat Analysts are responsible for detecting and responding to potential threats from within General Motors, whether they're from employees, business partners, or third-party vendors. Analyst will review risks related to data loss, circumvention of controls, abuse of access, sabotage, and fraud by means of identifying patterns and trends via application and security logs. Analysts will gather data and put together their findings to present to key stakeholders to substantiate risks and mitigate these risks accordingly.
Insider Threat Analysts will leverage tools such as user and entity behavior analytics, Data Loss Prevention (DLP) security controls, and SIEM tools. Additional forensic tools for end point analysis and mobile devices may be leveraged. Understanding of security endpoint tools and the data they generate will be used as part of ongoing analysis work.
Preferred Relevant certifications such as Certified Insider Threat Analyst (CITA), Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP), or Certified Ethical Hacker (CEH). SANS certifications related to incident response and investigations or similar.
