H ybrid : This position does not require an employee to be on- site full-time to perform most effectively. The employee's role enables them to work at a GM facility approximately 3 days per week.
The Role
As an Integration Manager – Internal RESS Pack & Module , you will lead an Integration Team (MIT) to develop a product that meets manufacturing requirements and fits within the Bill of Process. You will have the opportunity to apply your experience to create new requirements or processes that you think are more impactful. Integration Manager are also responsible for developing and managing the resources needed to execute the product program or project. You will need to evaluate options from a total enterprise perspective to ensure spending meets the approved investment.
Integration Manager will be the single voice of manufacturing in the product program forums. You will also provide you with exposure to the forecasting, planning, marketing, validation, and finance roles in GM. As we continue to leverage the global capabilities of GM, there is potential that your program will have team members in other countries. This will require some flexibility on your part due to work occurring in multiple time zones however it is another chance for you to connect on a broader scale.
What You'll Do
The Integration Manager will work specifically in some specific areas you will lead to optimize stakeholder value within the GM enterprise:
Implementation of the Global Launch Process
Co-Lead PET and RESS / Module Program's Change Management Process
IRT process during vehicle launch, driving the issue resolution process
Development of Lean Manufacturing Investment Targets. Track status: utilize total enterprise cost, make vs. buy analysis to ensure spending meets the approved project investment.
Program Interface to the RESS assembly plant, Plant Execution Managers to develop, and execute a highly choreographed manufacturing operations plan and budget.
Development of multi plant and program strategies for new products in conjunction with ME Centers & Mfg Planning.
Your Skills and Abilities (Required Qualifications)
Bachelor's Degree (Technical Degree Preferred) or equivalent experience.
8+ years of Plant and/or launch assignment experience.
Effective knowledge of GM manufacturing systems.
Strong leadership and interpersonal skills with demonstrated ability to build effective teams, work cross-functionally, teach, and effectively influence without direct authority.
Ability to work a flexible work schedule to allow participation in early morning or evening conference calls. Global conference calls. Travel will be required depending on project assignment.
Design thinking and results orientation with relentless pursuit of waste reduction.
Challenges the status quo and the traditional “Best Practices” where appropriate to reduce costs and complexity while maintaining quality.
What Will Give You A Competitive Edge (Preferred Qualifications )
Multiple ME assignments with successful individual achievements or team- based achievements.
Prior Supervisory skills.
Product launch or project management experience.
Knowledge of Global Vehicle Development Process.
Complete vehicle systems knowledge (across multiple regions) and the ability to review product design proposals for manufacturing impacts.
Experience working with multiple quality, manufacturing, and engineering organizations .
