Job Description

Position Summary

In this role you will be a member of the IT team which focuses on how we bring to life the systems and processes which support the delivery of our products (capabilities) and projects we do on behalf of the greater Rockwell organization.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Strategy Enablement

  • Leads the creation and development of capturing strategic metrics across all of IT utilizing APIs, JQLs, and Power Platform applications.
  • Works with IT leadership to develop strategic dashboards to help improve overall business outcomes and awareness.
  • Drives process automation to reduce ‘run' work and improve strategic initiatives.
  • Business Value Realization & Process Improvement

  • Helps lead the management of program and organizational performance for the Rockwell Information Technology organization.
  • Initiates and supports process improvement within the IT organization including, the adoption of Lean, Six Sigma, CMMI, SDLC, ITIL and other key measures & tools, as appropriate, to significantly improve project delivery, change management and operations metrics for reliability and service levels.
  • Community of Practice Leadership

  • Leads Community of Practice (CoP) sessions involving Jira, Jira Align, and PI planning technical and strategic guidance, and Jira Super User group sessions.
  • Serves as a supporting role in Product Owner CoP's, Technical Leader/Scrum Master CoP's
  • Process Expertise and Coaching

  • Serves as a supporting role in Lean Portfolio Management check point sessions.
  • Ensures consistency and excellence in the execution and efficiency of workflow across methodologies and frameworks within the portfolio.
  • Collaborates across business and technology functions to monitor dependencies and provide centralized visibility across the initiatives.
  • Jira Tool Oversight and Management

  • Manages all aspects of Atlassian tool chain including workflows, custom fields, schemes, add-ons, and integrations for Jira, Jira Align, and Confluence within IT
  • Subject Matter Expert for Atlassian tools (Jira Software, Jira Align, Confluence)
  • Builds new boards/projects for teams and ensures new users are trained and compliant with governance standards.
  • Maintains sprint reporting and PI planning reporting (Teams Health, Roster updates, Strategic Metrics, capability map updates, Jira Align metrics)
  • Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in business, technology, or related field or equivalent experience

  • Preferred Qualifications:

  • Typically requires 8 of more years of experience in IT.
  • A high level of empathy and the ability to vary styles of interaction to match the needs of a variety of business and technical audiences.
  • Embraces agility, flexibility, and ambiguity.
  • Strong team orientation and ability to collaborate.
  • Has a strong customer-oriented attitude while driving change and results.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Experience with IT standards such as ITIL, SAFE, Lean, CMMI, SDLC is a plus
