Introduction

At Dedrone, we're building high performance distributed sensor systems for drone detection, identification and mitigation. Our sensors are state-of-the- art computing devices which use signal processing and machine learning to detect and identify drones and communicate with our cloud-based platform for sensor data fusion, alerting, reporting and analytics.

We are looking for a Java development engineer. You will join a team of UI, API and backend developers and help architect and build our future solutions for drone detection. You will be working on API components, backend processing code as well as algorithms.

Responsibilities

  • Designing, writing and maintaining our Java core code together with your teammates
  • Writing and extracting modules for singular tasks in drone detection such as for example reporting, third-party integrations, data export or auditing
  • Working with our field engineers to analyze and solve core issues coming up during day-to-day use of our system
  • Documenting your work in a SCRUM-based issue management system
  • Qualifications

  • Design and develop code in Java
  • Working knowledge in Java 8 and/or later
  • Degree in computer science or similar field
  • Shell, Python, JavaScript and Maven is helpful
