The Battery Assembly Team is looking for dedicated and hard-working individuals. Our team is responsible for the execution of programs at the heart of GMs Zero-Zero-Zero initiatives. $27 billion of investments in EV and AV products and 30 EVs by 2025, including GMC Hummer EVs and Cadillac's all- new CELESTIQ.
The primary responsibility of the Lead Battery Assembly Engineer is to 'get the process right' and do so by delivering process and equipment that enable a flawless launch, by leading a team in developing manufacturing processes, equipment, tooling and flow of operations for lithium-ion batteries. Work is performed in a team environment where you will have daily interactions with suppliers, OEMs, product engineering, plant engineering, other manufacturing engineers and a multitude of others to optimally launch new products.
You will be working in a centralized engineering center and plant environment where a considerable amount of creativity and initiative is exercised as well as a high level of independent judgment.
This is a hybrid role with opportunities to work from home, at the Warren Tech Center in the state-of-the-art Battery Lab, Pre-Production Operations, Battery plants, and OEMs.
