Description

This is a Hybrid position. The role will allow employees to work offsite but will also require onsite work based on business needs. The selected candidate will be expected to commute to the innovation center to which they are assigned as their primary GM facility. This position requires an employee to be onsite 1-3 times per week.

About the role:

The Lead Fraud Analyst will focus on the development and detection of fraud based scenarios occurring within GM applications. Analyst will review risks related to financial and data loss, as well as abuse of systems by means of identifying patterns and trends via application and security logs. The lead analyst will identify key procedures, methodologies and curation of data to inform key stakeholders to substantiate risks and mitigate these risks accordingly.

  • Identify , Deter, Detect, & Mitigate fraudulent activities within GM applications
  • Lead the documentation and develop requirements for onboarding of use cases, log data sources and detections
  • Apply lessons learned methodologies from previous cases to new detection methods
  • Combining data from multiple sources to observe any anomaly in accounts and transactions.
  • Conducting risk assessments on collected data and establishing systems that extract data to monitor suspicious activity.
  • Taking immediate action on any activity that looks to have malicious intent and engage business owners
  • Making recommendations on existing procedures and policy layers.
  • Ensure junior analyst are trained and informed on operational duties
  • Additional Description

    The Lead Fraud Analyst will leverage tools such as user and entity behavior analytics, data analytics tools and data lake sources to develop and identify trends and detections.

    Requirements

  • A bachelor's degree in cybersecurity, information technology, computer science, or a related field or equivalent work experience. A master's degree is a plus.
  • At least 5 years of experience working in cybersecurity, with a focus on insider threat detection and mitigation.
  • Experience in analyzing and investigating insider threat incidents, identifying vulnerabilities, and recommending security measures.
  • Knowledge of industry best practices and standards related to insider threat management.
  • Familiarity with tools and technologies used for insider threat detection, such as data loss prevention (DLP) systems, user behavior analytics (UBA), and security information and event management (SIEM) platforms.
  • Preferred Relevant certifications such as Certified Insider Threat Analyst (CITA), Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP), or Certified Ethical Hacker (CEH). SANS certifications related to incident response and investigations or similar.
