Work Arrangement:
Hybrid: This position does not require an employee to be onsite full-time to perform most effectively. The employee's role enables them to work at a GM facility or off-site as frequently as needed or desired.
The Role:
CCA's Global Aftersales Engineering organization has responsibility for the service deliverable readiness of every GM vehicle globally. These include: service part release, service information, labor time guide, service part catalogue, diagnostic software, service programming, pre-delivery inspection forms, customer service information and special tools. Responsible for efficiently and effectively facilitating the execution of Aftersales Engineering work within their specific function.
What You'll Do:
Manage and lead projects for GM Propulsion as they reach end of production and make sure CCA service requirements are maintained
Communicate with Service Design Engineers and Service Release Engineers to understand design changes and the future modifications that affect service and GM plant end of production
Facilitate timely communication for all areas of project execution with Supply Chain, Purchasing, Service Engineering, Propulsion Engineering and Remanufacturing Engineering
Develop forecast and utilize market intelligence to determine long term needs of programs
Implement long term buy and bridge to the remanufacturing requirements
Maintain status and history of all assigned projects and lifecycle strategies
Provide the necessary support for the execution of remanufacturing projects as required
Collaborate cross functionally with individuals and teams to address issues or finish projects
Exhibits appropriate interpersonal styles and communication methods to work optimally with business partners to meet mutual goals
Develops and maintains constructive and cooperative working relationships with others and seeks out opportunities for collaborative experiences to help accomplish organizational goals
Able and willing to learn quickly
Holds themselves and others accountable for demonstrating GM's core behaviors
Your Skills & Abilities (Required Qualifications):
Solid understanding of vehicle service procedures, requirements, part release, service programming, or vehicle diagnostics.
Knowledge of vehicle systems and components, including advanced technology.
High level oral and written communication skills
Demonstrated project management skills considering project goals, advanced planning, identifying key stakeholder and aligns team to meet project deadlines
Ability to adapt to change, deal with ambiguity and forward-thinking environment
Comfortable working with cross-functional teams
Proficient with Microsoft Office and data analysis
Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or Automotive Technology or equivalent experience
What Will Give You A Competitive Edge (Preferred Qualifications):
Knowledge of the Aftersales and Production Systems & Processes
Design for Six Sigma experience
Manufacturing and/or vehicle engineering experience
