As a Leader in Maintenance, the Maintenance Coordinator - Paint will provide leadership and guidance to a small to medium group of salaried Paint Shop maintenance group leaders and in turn provide technical direction to skilled trades employees. This role is an integral part of our Paint department and will lead the maintenance and repair of Paint Shop Equipment. We are looking for an individual who is experienced in paint process equipment and has a highly developed knowledge of integration plant floor monitoring systems. This role will be primarily first shift but may require some off shift work and OT.
Scope of Responsibilities:
Responsible for preventative maintenance and diagnosis of equipment malfunctions
Recommend solutions to problems
Meets schedule and quality requirements
Participate & contribute to tool/equipment development, buyoff & validation activities
Work with engineering to deliver a complete, fully integrated, safe & validated manufacturing system
Provide spare parts, maintenance & continuous improvement strategies to the plant's operations teams
Work with product & production teams in process quality improvements, warranty & cost reductions
Support NPP/MBC projects and strategic project planning
Support production team during prototype, pilot & validation through acceleration to implementation
Provide leadership in assigned area for error proofing, preventative maintenance, support of ergonomic solutions & Key Product Characteristics (KPC) activities/strategies
Strive to continuously improve tools/equipment Maintenance Cycle Between Failure/Maintenance Time to Respond (MCBF/MTTR) through the use of TIP (Throughput Improvement Plant)
Provide floor troubleshooting assistance & root cause analysis
Support Business Plan S, P, Q, R, C, E goals
Act as Technical Shift Lead as necessary
Fully support the team concept
Support and Lead implementation of GMS
Train, develop and evaluate employees
Required Qualifications:
Experience with paint process equipment
Knowledge of system engineering, software development & hardware integration
Project management leadership skills
Highly developed knowledge of integration plant floor monitoring systems (PMC/PRT/WebTIP) &/or simulation techniques
Thorough knowledge of plant safety rules (i.e Lockout/PTP/SOPs
Thorough understanding of planned and predictive maintenance and the maximo system
Bachelor's degree in a technical field (Mechanical or Electrical), Journeymans card, or equivalent experience
Ability to work OT as needed
Ability to work off shift as needed (primarily first shift)
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience/knowledge of GM-Global Manufacturing System (GMS)
Master's degree in engineering
Project management leadership skills
Statistical Process Control (SPC) skills
Knowledge of continuous improvement processes (CIP)
Knowledge of Competitive Manufacturing Strategies
