You will be responsible for equipment related to the manufacturing process. You will required to use your independent discernment.
Your responsibility may involve training others and assigning work to a small group of employees.
Scope of Responsibilities:
Equipment Bulletins (T&E). Make ongoing improvements and updates, based on audit results to complement PCPs and T&E bulletins.
Aid with Breakdown management support through critical thinking and practical problem solving as a subject matter expert.
Support Global Manufacturing System standards including Maintenance Level 4/5
Board, Business Plan Deployment, Workplace Organization.
Processes, reporting near misses as well as developing Safe Operating Procedures and Pre-Task Plans.
Identify waste elimination opportunities in the areas of quality, scrap, uptime, energy etc.
Support NPP/MBC projects and strategic project planning.
Evaluate equipment life cycle, order spare parts and schedule required equipment maintenance.
Cover Maintenance Group leader as necessary.
Strive to continuously improve tools/equipment Maintenance Cycle Between Failure/Maintenance Time to Respond (MCBF/MTTR) through the use of TIP (Throughput Improvement Plan).
Create daily end of shift log and email to team, in effort capture important info related to work done that day.
Demonstrate a leadership role in assigned area in understanding manufacturing processes, equipment, tooling, parts presentation, operations sequence/line balance, Product Assembly Documents (PADs), Engineering Change Notices (ECN's) & process control plans.
Evaluate or monitor expenditures for processes and/or equipment
Qualifications
Required:
Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience such as is acquired through skilled trades journeyman status.
High level of interpersonal skills to work effectively with others.
Highly developed oral & written communication skills.
Flexibility to rotate shifts and work weekends as required.
High level of analytical ability where problems are unusual and difficult.
Manufacturing experience- Knowledge of system engineering, software development & hardware integration.
Lockout/Safety Practices.
Experience/knowledge of GM-Global Manufacturing System (GMS).
Thorough understanding of planned and predictive maintenance and the maximo system.
Lead the throughput improvement process and engage team members in identification and resolution of maintenance issues.
Knowledge of Vehicle Systems standards and tooling design
Preferred:
Bachelor's degree in an engineering field.
Diverse experience with manufacturing tooling and conveyance.
Experience with plant floor monitoring systems such as DLA or Tableau.
Project management leadership skills and ability.
Ability to manage people.
Statistical Process Control (SPC) skills.
