Responsibilities include improvements to production equipment and maintenance systems to increase reliability of the overall system. Work is of a technical nature and may involve basic engineering skills as well as data interpretation to identify opportunities for improvement. As needed, (weekend & projects) supervise a medium size group of multi-function skilled trade employees (mechanical and electrical) in an area of work which involves the repair, maintenance and construction of plant and equipment.
Job Responsibilities:
Work cross-functionally with Launch Team to Develop and implement effective preventive/predictive maintenance strategies for a new product launch.
Define and procure necessary spare parts for maintaining equipment at a world class level.
Develop Standardized Work task instruction sheets (TIS) for equipment repairs.
Effectively Pre-Task plan, direct, and supervise skilled trades during improvement projects.
Utilize Maximo for documenting and scheduling PM's and corrective work orders.
Monitor PM system for its effectiveness in improving reliability for area of responsibility.
Achieve PM system plant compliance goals for area of responsibility.
Assist in the diagnosis of equipment malfunctions.
Coordinate with production to complete equipment repairs, and PM's during opportunistic and scheduled downtime events.
Assist in the Root Cause Analysis of equipment downtime in area of responsibility.
Support Maintenance Team in the Business Plan Deployment (BPD) Process to drive continuous improvement.
Support the Maintenance Business Team in implementing & adhering to FEO policies and procedures.
Minimum Requirements:
Bachelor's degree (BSME or BSEE preferred) or equivalent experience
Training in skilled trades area or equivalent technical training
High level of analytical ability where problems are complex
Ability to interpret blueprints and engineering drawings
Knowledge of basic math and engineering concepts
Oral and written communication skills
High level of interpersonal skills to work effectively with others
Knowledge of basic mechanical concepts
Knowledge of and ability to effectively use electrical control and other engineering related computer software, preferred
Demonstrated technical and professional skills in job-related area required
Ability to give direction and hold skilled trades workforce accountable to expectations
