Epson, a $10B global leader in high-quality consumer electronics, imaging, and
point of sale printing devices, is seeking an exceptional Manager, Business
Development & Partner Innovation to join our team. You will be responsible for
innovation based business development with partners, developers, and start-ups
with a strong focus on Apple and Google. You will also be responsible for lead
management of partner and developer relationships, support, and Epson as a
Service ecosystem. Join a high-energy team with a strong manager coach that
will support you to flourish and succeed! This position will be based out of
our Los Alamitos, CA office with the opportunity for a hybrid work schedule.
At Epson, our hybrid schedule is only 6 days per month.
Principal Accountabilities
In addition to the following Epson's policies and procedures, principle
accountabilities include, but are not limited to:
Business Development
Innovation based business development with partners, developers, and
start-ups. Strong focus on Apple and Google
Aggressively drives partner-based innovation to build and maintain number
one position in all served markets
Opportunity, discovery and prioritization with Epson business teams;
product/service/solutions, Go to Market, and Business Model innovation
Fuels Epson as a Service ecosystem
Win-win-win planning with partners, developers, and startups
Advises discovery and validation, development, launch, and maintenance
Partner Relations
Drives Epson innovation via partners
Guides and builds proactive relationships with top tier vendors such as
Google, Apple, Microsoft, Amazon, Meta
Builds professional relationships with developers, startups, standards
groups and other outside organizations
Enables external software developers using Epson APIs/SDKs via web portal,
support materials and technical assistance
Fluent in cutting edge technologies and trends from the market, start-ups
and market leading companies
Leads preparation of Biannual trend report
Collaboration with Japanese headquarters for WW development, sales, and
marketing
Leads a partner/HQ/business/innovation team liaison effort in the creation
of new concepts and products
Publishes assigned deliverable reports and monthly activity reports
Manages Epson's library of developer support documentation and tools
Group Management:
Responsible for hiring, motivating, evaluating, and developing
group/department personnel
Provides coaching and mentoring to team members
Advises management and provides recommendations on personnel and
problematic conditions that require escalation
Builds strong relationships with peers and senior management to best meet
company goals and objectives
Builds strong relationships with Japanese personnel in headquarters for
support and collaboration on innovation projects
Manages and leverages relationships with vendors for a specific
product/service (best price/product, etc.)
Maintains professional relationships with peers in other corporations and
outside organizations
Department Management:
Operates within budgetary constraints
Participates in the development of annual budget forecasts; updating and
reconciling operating and budget plans as required
Develops and maintains written departmental standards and procedures
Directly contributes to the development of tactical and annual operating
plans by defining goals and objectives for the group
What You Will Bring
At least 5+ years of relevant experience in business development, partner
relations, and innovation
Completion of an undergraduate degree required (B.A. or B.S.)
Travel
Up to 25%
The starting annual base pay for this role is between USD $146,971 and
$190,198. The actual base is dependent upon many factors, such as: training,
transferable skills, work experience, business needs and market demands. The
base pay range is subject to change and may be modified in the future.
