Position Overview:

Rockwell Automation is looking for a Cyber Merger & Acquisition (M&A) Manager responsible for providing guidance on strategic planning, M&A transactions, acquisitions, and investments with a business and technology focus. You will integrate Cyber M&A activities into the larger corporate development efforts to support and influence business thesis and rational for the acquisition or divestiture of a business into Rockwell. You will mature and maintain the Cyber M&A approach for Rockwell, applying feedback from Cybersecurity and IT Leadership within Rockwell, ensuring an appropriate risk profile for Rockwell and raising risks to appropriate leadership. You will engage with partners to support Rockwell and be an advocate for the cybersecurity controls.

You will report to the Director, Security Strategy & Risk.

Essential Functions:

  • Conduct and lead cybersecurity due diligence as a cybersecurity team liaison to the corporate development team's ongoing growth and business development effort
  • Perform secondary research using a variety of sources including open source tools
  • Design and complete in-depth interview guides with necessary organizational partners
  • Support investments analysis as part of both integrations and separations of businesses
  • Consider cybersecurity strategy formulation as part of larger strategic transformations
  • Conduct M&A value creation and cooperation through cybersecurity (e.g. cybersecurity services streamlining, total costs analysis, risks mitigation plan)
  • Manage conflict, provide leadership, organize, and make decisions
  • Provide leadership when facing unique challenges encountered to work with individuals in diverse cultures and business environments
  • Perform M&A transaction planning
  • Lead small project teams
  • Manage, train and guide team members in advancing their careers
  • Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent years of relevant work experience
  • Legal authorization to work in the US is required. We will not sponsor individuals for employment visas, now or in the future, for this job opening.
  • Preferred Qualifications:

  • Typically requires 8+ years of relevant management experience within Information Security or M&A consulting
  • Prior experience working in a regulated business.
  • Degree specialization in Information Security, Business, Risk Management, Finance, Statistics or other related field
  • Certifications in CISSP/CISM/CRISC/PMP
  • Experience managing work to achieve milestones on time and within budget
